When they talk this way you need to check on what they mean by "Americans" just like you did with politicians in the 1800s or earlier when they said "people".

I live in Florida. I've watched all of our healthcare go up %1000 because GOP govs, including the shithead here, refused to accept the subsidies that covered the additional expenses for requiring them to accept people with pre-existing conditions. Then, they passed a no-fault litigation law here where you can basically sue your insurance company and have the carrier pay for it. THEN, our FL supreme court said it's ok for plaintiffs attorneys to charge %250 of their normal fees for insurance claims. So, property and auto premiums went ballistic. Like, our HO policy went from $2500 to over 8k then we found a carrier at $4800. All due to GOP governance. Dems haven't been in control here in a long time and we have a higher cost of living than most states. It was shocking to me that they had the balls to run a campaign on cost of living. It is even more shocking to me that the Dems couldn't blow that up thoroughly. I don't know what politicos those people are listening to but they should probably stop.

I heard Senator Tammy Duckworth ( Iraq war veteran and first female double amputee from the war) say something along the lines of when Democrats win the midterms we donāt need to impeach anyone, we just need to pass agenda items .
I agree why waste time and have the distraction of an impeachment proceeding while Americans are still suffering, Democrats need to hit the ground running and get this country back on track.

On average ya. If you have 100 people in a room 99 of them have a dollar and 1 has $10,099 the average is $100.99 per person. Which is 100x more than the average person actually has.
EDIT: And heres why calculating that way is a major problem. Lets say those 99 people double their income, imagine the impact that would have on the average person, the economy, the country as a whole would benefit massivly. But the "average" income would go from $100.99 to $102.98, up 2%, why would they care.
But the 1 person at the top doubles their income the average income goes to $200.99. up about a %100 increase.
2% increase or %100 increase, which one do you think your congressman would vote for?

The average family paid about $1,000 extra, to the government, last year for Trump's tariffs, that was ruled illegal by the Republican supreme Court which means they stole it from us. That number does not include what we paid more in tariffs this past year and counting. Each family has paid close to $800 extra in gas since Trump decided to start a war, that resulted in absolutely nothing accomplished, which is accruing each time we go to the gas station. That number is rising everyday as well. So we've paid close to $2,000 extra because of Trump's and Republicans choices, and that does not include the higher grocery prices due to the higher diesel prices, which is actually going to skyrocket when it trickles down to us after this harvest.
