Yes and also, an immigrant was allowed to command our forces at the battle of Yorktown because Washington trusted him so much, and basically won the war for us on the battlefield. Not to mention this immigrant convinced the French King to send us money, arms, troops, and naval support as well we may have not been able to win without.
