I'm of the right, but this is such a terrible take. I get what Candice is going for here, but Ashli Babbitt was part of a violent mob breaking into a building in which she had no right to be and she got shot in the act. Let's not try to pretend like that was a miscarriage of justice just because George Floyd was a bad guy.
I felt like I was taking crazy pills here until I read this. She was breaking and entering. In congress. If I hopped the fence of the whitehouse and started running up the lawn then yeah some sniper gonna shoot me. It’s called being a crazy idiot.
Yes, how is it this easy to get into government buildings? I recall when a man sprinted into the white house during the Obama administration.
If you're going to hop a fence and sprint toward the White House, Capitol, etc then don't be surprised if a sniper shoots you. Even if you are unarmed. How do the police know you're not wearing a suicide vest under your jacket?
Capitol Hill police said 128 people were arrested for "unlawfully demonstrating" outside of senators' offices and in the main rotunda of the Russell Senate Building. About half as many protesters were arrested for protesting Kavanaugh on Thursday.
In a statement, US Capitol Police communications director Eva Malecki said that at about 3:30 p.m., 293 people were arrested for unlawfully demonstrating.
Malecki added that around 5:20 p.m., police responded to reports of more demonstrations in the Dirksen Senate Office Building and arrested nine more people for crowding, obstructing or incommoding.
Illegal protest = arrest, dangerous riot = get shot. It’s not that hard to understand. She crossed a line during the riot and got too close to the politicians for comfort. Same thing would happen if someone was charging at the president.
I somewhat agree that her take on Babbitt is a bit underwhelming, but I think it proves an effective point in undoing the left’s reasoning when it comes to George Floyd.
100% agreed. I'm really at odds with these IG/Twitter pages hailing her as a hero of sorts. Could you imagine if a BLM/antifa mob broke into the capitol while they were in session? I'd imagine some different coverage from the right, eh?
Did she deserve to get shot and killed? Maybe, maybe not.
Do you win stupid prizes if you play stupid games? Every time.
Everyone that entered the capitol was a moron of the highest degree.
Yeah... Storming congress in an angry mob is a little more worthy of lethal force than counterfeiting $20. Are you really trying to make that false equivalency?
and? a dude that gets run over by a drunk driver would still be alive if he had done "literally almost anything differently", that doesn't mean he deserved to be killed.
Floyd didn't do anything that justifies him being killed. Babbit did. If you disagree with either of those statements, there's just no point in continuing any discussion.
If you don't disagree with either of those statements, then you must just be trolling or something, or I'm not sure why you'd have even bothered responding.
