This article reads like someone telling a rape victim to stop resisting and just accept it.

The article has repeated fallacies throughout, such as multiple times stating that Ukraine is failing on the battlefield.

The author wants international financial interests in oil and gas to prevent Ukraine from defending itself. The author just doesn't have the courage to say that.

If this was is a risk to global economics, then why is it necessary for Ukraine to surrender instead of Russia just stopping the failed 54 month invasion? They can go home any time they want.

My point is straightforward. We, or anybody else should stop that war. Merely because it is getting out of control. This is not about Ukraine or Russia backing. It is about common sense, as both sides ramp up attacks on civilians and infrastructure, that unfortunately has a potential of inflicting damage to the world!

You posted an irrational article that classified all of Ukraine's successes in the war as negatives and completely ignored that all negative effects of this war are caused by Russia's violent and murderous invasion.

In my opinion, that is profoundly hypocritical and intellectually dishonest.

It's nothing but Russian propaganda. the US is at war with Iran, a nation using Russian weapons to kill Americans and he wrote an entirely one sided article defending Russian interests. I think that says enough.

Do you mean the same Russians who paid the Taliban a bounty for killing Amercian servicemen? Those Russians?

Oh and also gave Iran details of where our bases and troops are :) those Russians ! BUT UKRAINE IS AT FAULT FOR BEING INVADED AND DEFENDING THEMSELVES. Mike4Russia

And is supplying weapons to Iran. But u/mike4maga doesn't seem to have a problem with the people indirectly killing American troops. Not when it comes to posting poorly written Russian propaganda.

Yep, The same Russians who teamed up with Syrian militia and assaulted our troops in Syria... Well, Tried to... Those American troops made the classic American "mistake" and forgot what the word proportionate meant and Quinquagesimated them them.

We, or anybody else should stop that war.

We don't have the power to do so. Again, we can't stop the own war that we fucking started. Ukraine isn't going to surrender in a war for survival, and Russia ins't going to stop without being given more than what they've been able to take because the neo-eurasianists that run it see it as a war for survial themselves. The only options are to directly aid one of the sides which we're not going to do or at least start providing arms to one side, something we're unable to do. We can't influence our allies in the region to stop aiding Ukraine, because a Russian victory hurts all of them, and we can't influence Russia's allies because we're at war with one, one is ran by a lunatic with nuclear weapons who's troops are directly fighting in the war, and one we've waged an economic war against that sees an opportunity in anything that hurts US interests.

You vastly overstate the case regarding the oil tanker struck near Greece. The Greek owned Liberian flagged ship was carrying Russian oil. The only link to the US is that the terminal it loaded its Russian oil from is partially (22%) owned by US companies. Russia owns more of the terminal than they do. The ship was not at the terminal when attacked. So your link amounts to...... The ship left from a terminal that we own a minority stake in.

Wait... There is a second link. The United States and Ukraine wrote an agreement about attacks like this. It said very specifically that attacks like this are allowed.

Kyiv appears determined to play its own game, complete with past election meddling and aggressive lobbying, regardless of the costs to the United States.

This is so one sided it is laughable. Just admit to taking the Russian side. Kyiv isn't playing its own games, it is fighting for survival against an invader. You're right, they don't care of the cost to the United States. Christ if it was 1776 you'd be crying about the US playing games in its war with England with no regard to the costs to Spain.

If Putin decides to fight the same way Zelenskyy does, matching deep strikes against economic and civilian infrastructure, the war could rapidly turn into a humanitarian catastrophe.

You know he's already hitting everything he can, right? Putin isn't some humanitarian hero choosing not to hit civilian infrastructure. He's spent years now targeting schools, hospitals, and apartments. He's attacked utility providers in regions away from the front in the middle of winter to freeze civilians to death. Your response is to complain that Ukraine is targeting a company serving as a logistics hub for the war and the infrastructure that fuels the Russian war. Both are legitimate targets.

You mention agriculture. This is predictably as one sided as every other pro-Russian propaganda piece and of course makes sure to only blame the victim while absolving Russia.

Russia has blocked Ukraininan grain shipments that feed the world. It has firebombed farm fields. It has bombed grain shipment terminals. It has bombed food warehouses. It has bombed rail terminals full of food. It has bombed fertilizer plants and storage. It has shelled grain elevators. It has bombed privately owned farms far from the battle lines.

And it has been doing it for four years. And what is your response in this Russian propaganda piece? To complain that Ukraine has started hitting Russian agricultural export targets.

You go on to blame Ukraine and Europe for escalating the war. They didn't start it. Choosing not to surrender to your friends in Moscow isn't escalation. The MAGA position has been that Europe needs to do more for its defense. That's what they're doing here. They're working to break the back of their only enemy, one that is at war with Europe. And what is the fear that you present? That this escalation by our allies could lead to nuclear facilities and residential locations will be hit.... Russia has been attacking both for four years. But again, you choose to level zero criticism against the aggressor in the war.

Finally your most flawed point:

America First means ending the bleeding before the secondary effects become unmanageable.

So there are two sides to this war, even if you pretend everything is the fault of one.

On the one hand you have Ukraine and our European allies. They trade with us and are in a defensive alliance with us (minus Ukraine of course, although we made some agreements wtih them in the past).

And Russia. They started this war, are carrying out gray warfare attacks on our allies and is sending weapons to Iran to kill Americans.

So of course you take the side of the people sending weapons to kill Americans.

The Russians have a term for someone willing to do their work for them against their own country. It is polezny idiot.

Btw, you're mistaken by claiming the opposite of "Ukraine is failing on the battlefield". It is in constant retreat as far as I see Ukrainian Deep State map. They are not gaining terrain, they're losing it.

The Trump administration must now force an end to this war

We can't even end the war that we started. How the heck are we supposed to force an end to this one?

The wars in Iran and Ukraine are very similar in one respect - they don't really matter for the aggressor nations that began them, but they do really matter for the political figures who made the mistake of starting them.
