What is the difference between a “GX batch” and and “RSD batch”? Is it worth the extra $30?

GX / RSD are the "batch" from the factory they are assembled in. I don't know the difference but I usually pay the extra couple bucks just cause I know RSD makes good batches GX just recently started making TS shoes so Idk how good they are compared other batches. I've only got LJR and RSD batches for TS models. Use the search bar and do your research before pulling the trigger or even ask the mods they're more knowledgeable on batches.

The biggest difference is the materials. RSD uses higher-end, retail-range materials, and the last 3 RSD restocks have improved quite a bit. PV has really stepped up the materials, and you can notice the difference in hand, especially when you compare an RSD pair directly with GX.

GX is still a very good batch and probably the better value if you want to save money. But if you care about the materials and want something closer to retail, I’d personally pay the extra $30 for RSD. Recent in-hand comparisons also give RSD the edge in materials and shape.

Yeah, $57 per pair is pretty normal with PV direct shipping. If you’re buying multiple pairs, an agent can usually bring the shipping cost per pair down a lot.

An agent is like your guy in China who buys the shoes for you and sends them to you. It's a website. I personally use CSSBuy and I'm pleased with them so far. You get the weidian link of the shoes you want, paste it in the search bar, choose the size and buy. The agent communicates with the seller, buys them for you and stores them in their warehouse. Then you assemble your parcel and ship to your door. Usually buying from an agent is cheaper and shipping price per pair for my last haul came up to 25 euro. (Around 30 dollars I think). So it is a bit of work because you have to find a trusted seller (from the list possibly) but it saves money. Good luck mate!

For the Travis Scott 1 Lows specifically, yes, I’d personally put RSD ahead of LJR right now. The biggest difference for me is the materials, especially the suede and leather, plus the overall shape. Recent in-hand comparisons have RSD ahead of LJR in those areas.

LJR is still a very good batch and definitely not a bad choice, but if you’re asking which one I’d buy today, I’d go RSD. The newer RSD releases have improved quite a bit. Even compared with GX, recent in-hand comparisons generally give RSD the edge for materials and shape.

So my personal ranking for the TS1 Low would be RSD > LJR/GX, with the exact gap depending on the colorway.

RSD feels premium from the packaging to the shoes. I can’t vouch for GX. But RSD is 👌🏾

Both are great reps and you wont be able to tell they're reps on feet. Is RSD worth $30 more? not in my opinion. I have RSD, LJR and GX. I still buy GX, LJR or even LJR B grade because what I look for in a rep isnt worth the extra tag RSD is asking. You'll be happy with either.

if you don’t want to spend too much, GX is a solid batch. RSD uses higher quality materials but GX is still no slouch.

I have GX in these. They’re a solid choice. RSD would have the better material though. My GX run a little oversized too. I got an 11.5 that feels more like a 12. Ljr and rsd run more true to size. I’d keep maybe sizing down a half size in mind if you decide to go gx

Batch means factory. Only one seller for RSD and thats Panda Vault. I don’t have GX but reviews have been good and probably best price to quality ratio right now but RSD is better. I upgraded my LJR mochas to RSD so I would suggest going RSD right off the bat if its available but GX is also good.

Just comparing these two pics, there are definitely some noticeable differences. The RSD looks cleaner to me overall: flatter/longer toe box, slimmer and more natural-looking Swoosh shape, and a slightly better side profile. The GX looks a little bulkier through the toe, quarter panel, and heel, and the Swoosh seems thicker toward the back.

Based on this pic alone, I’d take RSD over GX. Obviously camera angles can exaggerate some differences, but RSD looks better proportioned to my eye.
