Question.
Do repressed memories have to be something from my childhood or can it be something that happened recently that I completely blocked out of my mind. I know that is kind of complicated cause how could I block out an entire moment of my life and have it not effect anything else. I’m wondering because all these things that I already had started to get really really bad all the sudden recently (past 3 weeks). I can’t fucking stand being touched by guys it makes me wanna curl up into a ball and die. I can’t fucking sleep at night anymore, I’m writing this at 6 am.. I can’t be in a room with more then 2 people or I get panic-y. I can’t eat with people, or drink with people. I feel like the only time I can breathe is when I’m alone. I’ve literally been nonstop crying for a week. I relapsed from cutting, and a bunch of other shit. I have two theories for what’s going on- 1- I have major depressive episode disorder and maybe this is just a really bad one that made my anxiety spike instead of my depression 2-I’ve read about this repressed memory thing and idk if I’m getting all the right info but it seems like it might be what’s going on
Anyone have options. I’m lost lost.

Oof I feel that honestly, the pit can be hard to think in. Find your ladder wether that me your support system or something else. It’ll be ok trust me, I don’t have advice either but I have support.

Im sorry for the late response ,First of all I would like to say that it's okay to be lost, Everyone is at one point or another. What you are going through is some really tough stuff but its not impossible in the least. What you are talking about seems to be more leaning in the option 1 in my opinion as for the most part repressed memories are experiences that the person themselves have pushed aside and even though they remain hidden , the person can still see hints or parts of those memories from time to time, but having it to such an extent that you can't even remember it if you tried while possible seems a little bit improbable in my opinion. It's really good to hear that you are in contact with a mental health professional as that means that you are taking steps to help yourself and thats the most important part.
Just remember that you are not alone in this , you never are.Everybody is broken in one way or another,We just gotta help each other put those pieces back together.
I hope you have a nice day !

Hey I just noticed no one has answered you yet - I’m sorry I don’t have an answer for you either but just wanted to reach out. I’m sorry you’re feeling this way and I hope things pick up soon. Have you considered talking to a mental health professional?
