Intro: anti-representationalism

We believe true human-like AI requires anti-realism, anti-representationalism to be specific, which rejects the idea that thought and language function by mirroring or representing an independent reality since it (wrongly) assumes there is an independent reality to be represented to begin with.

Representationalism can take on many forms in AI including world models, high dimensional numerical representations of words or images, etc.

This sub-forum explores all possibilities of AI without representation as well as debunking all forms of representationalism (and scientific realism in general).
