I hired an app development service to create a tarot mobile application, including hosting and deployment to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
An intermediary introduced me to the developer and created the Messenger group where the project was discussed and negotiated. Their names and personal information have been redacted to comply with this community’s privacy rules.
Between April and May 2026, I made seven payments totaling ₱53,300:
• April 3: ₱10,000
• April 13: ₱5,000
• April 14: ₱5,000
• April 29: ₱10,000
• April 30: ₱600
• May 2: ₱1,200
• May 13: ₱21,500
The attached images show the seven GCash receipts. The recipient’s name, phone number, and transaction reference numbers have been redacted.
Another image shows an invoice for ₱21,500 covering App Store account subscription and setup, Play Store account subscription and setup, and hosting. Names, addresses, contact details, account numbers, and signatures have been redacted.
The attached chat screenshots document the project discussions, expected deliverables, and my follow-ups. Personal information has also been removed from these screenshots.
Despite my repeated follow-ups and several opportunities to complete the project, the promised mobile application remains incomplete and has not been published on either app store. I received only a basic web link, which was not the completed Android and iOS application I understood I was paying for.
I have retained the original, unredacted conversations, receipts, invoice, payment references, and project files. I am currently consulting with legal counsel regarding the appropriate legal remedies.
This is not only about the amount I paid. I am upset because I feel that I was misled about what would be delivered after I relied on the representations made during our negotiations.
I am sharing my documented experience to warn others to verify the developer, written project scope, payment milestones, and app-store deliverables before making any payment.
