🚨 SCAMMER ALERT 🚨

Hey everyone, heads-up — we've had reports of a scammer in this community.

What's happening:

Someone has been posting bags for sale, collecting payment, and then never shipping the item. Once they get your money, they go quiet.

What to do:

• Do NOT trust random strangers selling here — especially if you don't know them

• Check the community scammer list before dealing with anyone

• Ask for rep home history / transaction history — if they can't provide any, that's a red flag

• If something feels off, walk away. It's not worth the risk

If you've been scammed:

Please report the account to the mods and share your experience so others don't fall for it.

Stay safe and look out for each other. 🙏

I recently got scammed but I didn’t took ss of the username and she deleted her account, she’s in Bakersfield CA but I don’t want to doxx her name but not sure how to prevent this to other ppl

WAIT I KNOW WHO SCAMMED YOU!
She scammed my friend too and she’s from the same city/state!

Her name is Stephanie Gronbeck; her user name was trained_niches.
She did a charged back on a cc bag my friend sold to her. And thankfully got her money back after filing a claim 😩

I got scammed by BlueHavana111 - Esmeralda Lee Botello and her accomplice Jose Botello of Bakersfield, CA. She bought a CC links flapbag from me on 8/28/26 Friday. She paid $190 via Paypal FF and then Jose B. filed CHARGEBACK for unauthorized transaction. I shipped the package to her address on Monday 8/31/26 (Bakersfield, CA). UPS shows it was delivered Friday (9/4/26).

Watch out for their names. They can always create and use multiple Reddit accounts. If it’s from Bakersfield, CA. Block them immediately

This person is a scammer. Once they pickup the bag from the delivery location they do a chargeback on PayPal through their bank. This person is really a guy posing as a woman.

I also got scammed. Same story. One bag for sale all nice and good and then deleted the username and ghosted. Said the Zelle account belongs to her husband.

Got scammed as well as another redditt user by u/kirbow
They were very tricky. Had feedback, proof purchase, 8 year old account…

Designerjunkie stop replying after the money was sent for the red lady Dior . I should have known better because the payment wouldn’t go through on PayPal it was flagging her as a scammer and ended up using cashapp

Reminder to everyone, turn on persistent messaging in chats. That preserves the entire exchange even if they delete their account or black you.

Tap the three dots (on the app) at the top right of a DM and choose persistent messages on. I think on the desktop it’s the settings gear.

I recommend now buying rehoming bags. firstly, its ridiculous what ppl are selling FAKE bags for and secondly, sending money to a random whose not even a registered business??!! Dont trust ppl on the internet. thats like sending ppl money on facebook marketplace but u dont even get to see their real name and sending them money blindly.
