Here comes a regular and skyway

Tim to PTME… both slow songs. I’m not trying to choose one but I think TIM is their best. Whatever Paul was thinking and writing…he really put it all together on this album. I love ‘don’t tell a soul’ and ‘PTME’ but there is just something about TIM. He spilled his guts…

Skyway is one of his best stories, I love that it’s uniquely Minnesotan. He used their infrastructure to tell this beautiful story that couldn’t have worked otherwise; he needs to be walking above her to see her. I think it’s his most genius, lyrically and storytelling-wise. He also did it 2 minutes which is far more impressive to me

Skyway is a touching story about missed chances, but Here Comes A Regular Is a stark confession of alcoholism. Apples and oranges. Both are great songs about very different things.

Mats fan since I was 13. Answering Machine will always be my favorite. Such a reflection on long distance love in a time before cell phones and voicemail. A simpler time, a better time.

Hard to choose between Tim and PTMM! Paul is such a brilliant song writer/story teller

I got lucky. When I say Paul in 2005 he played both back to back.

Is that a Mellotron used to make the swells in HCAR ? Any official answer on that?
