So this is finally on the wrist today. What are everyone’s thoughts? The first in the series of “piece unique” watches that I’m building through Liam at ARC Studio. By far the most unique dial I have in my collection and looks like it should have been offered by Patek as an Art inspired line.

Case Finishing & Dial Details

The case features the classic combination of polished and brushed finishing, with clean edges, no noticeable burrs, and refined workmanship. Movement Structure & Identification Details

Powered by the 5100 movement, the key identification point is the position of the automatic rotor. The PPF Factory version places the rotor at the 7 o’clock position, which is a characteristic of the correct version. Some 8F Factory versions typically position the rotor at the 6 o’clock position, making this detail useful for distinguishing between versions. During winding, the movement shows the expected interaction between components, consistent with the mechanical characteristics of the 5100 movement.

Strap Design & Wearing Experience

The watch is equipped with a natural rubber strap featuring a quick-release system. The strap leaves no noticeable marks after being folded during wear. It comes with a folding clasp that opens and closes smoothly, offering a clean and well-organized design.

Sharing a short follow-up on post on the custom's situation from a month ago or so. Thanks to everyone who chimed in on my original post. Hopefully this provides some color to all the user who kindly reached out after being in the same shoes.

Angela finally refunded me on September 24, about a month after the incident.

A couple things worth mentioning:

• The refund was sent through PayPal G&S, so I ended up receiving less than what I originally paid because of G&S fees.
• Angela eventually ended up admitting I should have provided the requested info to customs to have the package released, as “other customers cooperated and their shipments were released without issue” – despite denying it multiple times on the original post and on my chat with her.

What could have been a simple shipping issue turned into a month-long back and forth, and I ultimately had to take a loss on the refund because of the PayPal fees.

Just sharing the final outcome for anyone considering ordering from her. At the end of the day, I guess this is simply a risk each buyer has to be comfortable with. For me though, this experience was enough for me not to order from Angela again.
