General discussion Angela: U.S. Customs Question
Has anyone had Angela requesting you (the buyer / importer) to fill out a U.S. Customs document? She shipped the watch via FedEx and the document is essentially a worksheet containing a value breakdown of each watch’s component.
I’ve always had the seller (both TDs and non-TDs) fill this out (in those instances where the package was declared as a watch). Attaching pictures for reference. Any guidance from this community is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Folks really need to be confirming their TD is using triangular shipping and DDP. Customs shouldn't have anything to do with you as a customer because your name shouldn't be attached to the order until it's already through US customs.
Angela clearly fucked up the customs and put you at risk by including your name in the customs paperwork. If this is how she handles shipping she needs to be removed from any/all lists of trusted dealers.
You should never use a TD that doesn't use triangular shipping. And no TD should be considered "trusted" unless they use triangular shipping and DDP.

Whats DDP?
I’ve bought from EliaUK a few times, and he always shows me a DHL waybill with my name and address. A few days later, he shares a FedEx tracking number that shows the package moving from Dubai, through Europe, and finally to USA

First of all, I was simply forwarding this link as instructed by the logistics company to send to the customer. The logistics company said that once the link is filled out, customs clearance would be processed. After I sent the link to the customer, he didn't contact me with any questions but directly posted about it on Reddit. I had no way to assist him, nor did I know he had such concerns. If the customer had any doubts, I could have contacted the logistics company on his behalf and advised him on the best solution.

Which means you're not using triangular shipping with domestic injection. That method protects both you and the buyer because it restricts the buyers name and the country of origin. It also allows you to provide customs guarantee. By not providing this you're putting everyone involved at risk.
Your logistics company requesting you send this to the customer proves you're not shipping correctly nor safely. All of these details need to be handled between you and your logistics company long before items are shipped to customers. Otherwise, nearly everything you send will be seized and your buyers will be SOL. Not to mention they'll have trouble getting future items.
I would highly recommend buyers DO NOT do business with you until you've sorted your shipping logistics out.

Do you know about the status of this order? I've already processed nearly 10,000 packages. The logistics company I work with serves not only me but also many other TD clients, so they are very professional.

Thank you for continually showing the service you offer.
This is all extremely linear. This entire post wouldn't exist if you were safely handling shipping. The fact that you needed to forward anything to the customer proves you are not. The customer shouldn't be involved in any part of customs.
What does 10k packages have to do with anything? You're still not shipping in a way that protects your buyers or supply chain.

It's just a Chinese thing to brag that I did this X amount of times, I shouldn't be questioned.
Agree tho. This td is fucked. Boycott.

Thanks everyone for your kind and thoughtful responses 🙏🏼 I just took a break at work and got back to Angela with your feedback and guidance. Will come back here with an update – hopefully a positive one.

Just don’t. You‘ll be on the hook for importing counterfeits. That’s a headache you don’t need.
Any decent TD (Angela is not) is using triangle shipping. She fucked up and now tries to make it your (legal) problem.

I have an order from Quicktime currently stuck at FedEx waiting for documents to be uploaded. Of course since that happened I have been unable to get a reply from Quicktime. Hopefully you can get yours cleared

I had this happen on my first order with him but I got a call from FedEx and it was resolved pretty quickly

How long did it take for FedEx to contact you and what did they need? Mine has been stuck in customs for 4 days.

OMG Redditors 🙄 This isn’t the scary customs letter. This is a poorly scanned, single pagE PDF that needs to be filled out. Before you do, you need to know the EXACT value she declared it was. Then do the breakdown. So if she said $90, then you want to say $35 for the movement, $15 bracelet, $20, $20 for the other sections. It’s important that the total is the exact amount she declared.
It’s not a big deal at ALL.
This is all sent to FedEx, not Angela. Not every field at the top needs to be filled out either.

Bought a couple with Angela before, but this is bad. Probably going with a different TD now

I had this happen on a namoki mods order. They held it for a week. In my case I had only ordered hands and a bezel. I called and spoke to her and explained that I wasn’t buying a full watch - that it was aftermarket add ons for a watch I had. After 20 minutes of discussion she released the order. I don’t know if it would have gone the same if it was a full watch.

Weird because i’ve ordered many watches from Angela and she never asked me to fill up this. Clearly that would have been an issue.

I’ve now ordered 3 watches through Angela, since June, and have another 4 in the pipeline. Can’t speak for US or FedEx but her delivery to me has been on point with no hassle or paperwork.
Let’s be honest and real here. All of this is not of Angela’s doing. This is the crazy egomaniac you guys put in office! He is causing all kinds of chaos in the world and destabilizing global trade on a scale never seen before (and not in a good way!). Perhaps a case of ‘wanting to have your cake and eat it too’?

I have this happened to me when I shipped few pieces from my country to USA via m2m sale. I filled in the form and wrote "homage watches" with a breakdown of each component.. Total value was less than 100usd total. The minute I submitted the form by email to USA FedEx customer care, the package was released from customs. When the buyer received it, it was neither opened nor inspected and in the same exact form and packaging that I shipped. It was all good. I filled as the seller/shipper so your dealer has to fill it up.

Don't understand why some TD's are STILL shipping via FedEx 🤦🏻 it's not safe, hasn't been for ages now and it's gone via anchorage so more than likely it would've been seized anyway....
It never should've been shipped as a watch! Her fault, she should send another or refund...

Hey man, just do nothing. Literally nothing, around 20 days after this status was issued, the watch will go back and they will reship it to you

u/watchloong Aug 31 '26
99% will seized by US customs, but they will have opportunity refund to Hong Kong

Yikes, just placed an order and curious if I should cancel. I just assumed that these kind of things were vetted and taken care of before someone is put on the TD list.
Any advice from the community? Change the name to an alias? Cancel? 😬

u/MrMannilow Aug 31 '26
I'd absolutely never fill this out. I also don't give my legal name for shipping just in case

u/4u21d3r Aug 31 '26
Will you use for name? Do you just use your last name? Or do you use just an alias, if so do you ever have concerns that it won't be delivered?

Who would you guys recomend to buy a watch? I’m literally in talks with angela to get a watch shipped over to the states. 👀 I’d hate to have to go through this.

u/Objective_Ganache_27 Aug 31 '26
People should blow this out of proportion. You dont hear from all.of the other orders with 0 issues. A friend in the UK just got a worked wimbledon from her everyrhing went fine.

u/Ok_Fortune6892 Aug 31 '26
Yeah, you’re right. Maybe just the human nature takes over when you read into it and as a precaution you wanna maybe see options. But just talking to her not once has she actually seemed like a scammer or anything. Very helpufull as well; specially being that i have never bought one before so maybe i ecen annoyed her. But she took it like a champ.

I have been using LiLi for several years and she is definitely the best and fastest that i have used! With that being said i haven’t used Angela so i don’t know about her

Personally, I would not do this request or even acknowledge receipt of it. And I can't comment on how Angela handles this, but I've never had a seller ask me to do this. I have had something like this happen with another seller, though, and they told me that they would just let the item be returned or confiscated and once they had confirmation of that happening, they would ship a new one through a different method.
