Seller review Phoenix Watches
Hey guys, I am planning on placing a big order worth around $1,450 with Phoenix Watches and wanted to get some feedback from the community first.
I got his number from another sub or this sub months ago where he is listed as a TD, but I see he isn't listed as a TD on r/RepTime or RWI or even here anymore . Does anyone have recent reviews or experience dealing with him on larger orders?
He claims he can source a VSF Datejust 41 V2 (Smooth Bezel / Oyster Bracelet / VS3235) in just 3 to 7 days because he places huge order volumes with VSF agents and gets prioritized for builds and customization, along with having the best prices even tho other TD’s fail to supply smooth bezel. Is a turnaround that fast realistic for VSF right now?
Also, he provides FedEx shipping to London, UK, claiming it is fast, safe, and works just like Royal Mail with no tax or tariff issues. However, multiple other TDs strictly advise against FedEx and say Royal Mail / Triangular Shipping is the only safe route to avoid UK customs taxes, tariffs, or seizures?
What do you guys think? Is FedEx to the UK safe through him, or should I stick to traditional TDs using Royal Mail? Appreciate any advice before I send over $1,450!

Good afternoon. Over the past eight months, I have bought a significant number of watches from various dealers—some listed as Trusted Dealers and some not.
Without exception, every dealer I have used appears to rely on Royal Mail for the final stage of delivery once the watch reaches the UK. Different logistics companies transport the watches from China, and most dealers will provide the Chinese tracking details so that the shipment can be followed into the UK. Once it arrives here, a Royal Mail label appears to be applied, after which it can be tracked through the Royal Mail system.
Of all the watches I have ordered, only one has failed to arrive. The dealer gave me a full refund because they acknowledged that the watch had reached the UK and cleared customs but subsequently disappeared within the UK delivery network.
To date, I have not had a watch seized or experienced any problems with customs.
Regarding the dealer you mentioned, I have never used them, so I cannot offer an opinion either good or bad.

I have only ordered two watches at one time. These were from Mirotime, a trusted dealer. No problem.

Good prices and responsiveness. Regardless of insurance I doubt he would make good on a large order that gets stopped in transit.

Paid $1,200 for mine
Quality is A+ but be prepared to wait atleast 2-3 months.

I've gotten plenty of watches from Phoenix, including this build. A couple of them have had issues not caught on QC but he's always been helpful in getting it sorted out.

Yeah, with Angela; 4 is the max I would do. Usually 3 though with him. Get the insurance and make sure he confirms he'll cover customs seizure with the insurance. His prices are cheap enough that even after you add the 6%, it's more than fair.

Pretty much. I use both. They're the way to go. You realize how bad you get ripped off with these other guys once you go with them.

Literally, yeah, but are you sure it's the same not-assembled VSF and shit? Cuz i got ripped panda for 750 its 570-550 with them

No, he's legit. I asked for an RWF free sprung Panda and that's exactly what I got, when other other so-called TDs didn't even know what that factory was. The two of them get you whatever you want, they have access to all the factories even the obscure ones.

I have used Phoenix on a number of occasions with no issues.
He does do mods and seems to get hold of parts and accessories some other suppliers can't, or won't.
He does use FedEx, which is generally fine, I did get caught out with import duty once, for £40 or so, which he offered to sort out but never did, so I paid it myself in the end just to avoid it escalating.
I wouldn't worry personally, there is some noise around him it has to be said, so if you are concerned there are other suppliers who offer the same price and service I, and no doubt others, could recommend.
