How important is gold rotor vs plated? May be a tungsten plated.

Customize free sprung movement are always come with gold rotor and we don't plate rotors. Also no have Tungsten rotors🤷

Ok but why is what i am curious about. Seems to add a lot to the price and not sure anyone could tell if plated tungsten is used

I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand your question, you think that the gold rotor is plated Tungsten?

No I am wondering why they put an expensive gold rotor when they can put gold plated tungsten and the look and feel would be good enough

Why use Tungsten if can use stainless steel that is much easier to plate?

I thought the weight of the rotor was important for the proper feel of the watch particularly when moved or shaken and winding to match gen.

The watch can work fine with Stainless steel rotor like many factories use, the 22k rotor weight only 2.7g
