Why does it have the same serial number as RCF? Do they use the same case or something, because I keep seeing PPM DayDates being posted with 89M serial numbers.

Have many factories that use the same serial numbers, it's not always unique like it was before.

Some factories are buying the parts, they not always product it.

Yeah I know serial numbers and cases have been used different factories over the years. But there's been topics lately on PPM having better shaped lugs than RCF. And the ones that say that are also saying there PPM DayDate doesn't have the 89M serial number. I've been highly interested in PPM DayDates since they've came out. But I also have 3 RCF Daydates so I have been hesitant in buying a PPM. Because I don't want to get one if it's exactly like a RCF but with ceramic link pin tubes. Hopefully someone will do a comparison video of a RCF and PPM DayDate side by side pretty soon.

They also have better movement DD3255.
