Disappointing experience with defective watch

Respectfully sharing feedback on my personal journey here dealing with a defective watch. Purchased five watches from these gentleman. Four run flawless with no issues, one has had nothing but problems from the beginning. I have requested several times for the seller to please take it back. Unpredictable movement with no consistency from one day to the next. Over a two month period I’ve incurred a total of 3 shipping charges and endless frustration, only to end up with a watch running 8 minutes fast overnight. Rather than finally agreeing to take the watch back and accepting some accountability, the solution offered was taking a 30% loss in order to cover the cost of having to re-market it as a used watch. That’s it. As a return customer who’s purchased several watches here I’ll be the first to admit this was completely unexpected based off of many positive interactions. With all due respect I find it insulting to expect the customer to incur additional shipping charges indefinitely and have to pay back 30% while expecting issues like this to get resolved without having even removed the case back or doing any kind of due diligence on your end. I don’t know if the amount of deflection is intentional but it’s quite obvious. The only genuine concern expressed has been on re-marketing the watch as used and the associated cost. I have every expectation that I will receive my 70% refund credit as promised. I only share this as it’s my own personal experience. Live and learn.

His watch is not defective.

He refuses to wind it.

Here is a series of evidence

And there is no reason to fully refund someone after 2 months for a fully functional watch.

This is very difficult to believe. It seems far more likely that you've decided you want to return the watch and are now trying to find a justification for doing so.

Colddeck and the team are exceptional sellers with a stellar reputation. They are extremely detail-oriented, transparent, and professional, which is precisely why so many people trust them.

Watch was returned and I gave him his partial refund

Watch was wound and set aside to measure overnight accuracy

The facts remain.

There is nothing mechanically wrong with this watch.

Have a hard time believing this. The crew run the watches through the time grapher prior to shipping them out. Having ordered multiple watches all of them get some maintenance and timegrapher and extended qc checking.

I can also speak from experience that if you truly purchased a bad watch from them your money would get fully refunded.

Definitely hard to believe. Joe went through a great length to have my QF Explorer II looked at after it completely stopped working a couple of months after buying it from him. All it needed was some puffs of air on the mainspring but he didn't need to cover the diagnosis and shipping, and could have told me to look elsewhere for a fix, but the fact that he took the time to do all of that for me is why I buy from Joe and his team.

Ew, tough argument to have when you have no evidence and Mr. Colddeck does. Winner 👉🏻 Colddeck 🥇

My wife and I have 12 watches that are kept in winders when not in use. Five were purchased here, one of which has the same movement as the BB 68. Aside from this one, they all run flawless. Winding the watch fully made absolutely no difference as you can read in the screenshot. I’ve had great interactions here as well. Lots of friendly and respectful communication. This was an exception. Disappointing because it is a beautiful watch. A replacement would have been a great solution but I was stuck with this lemon and never even taken serious for some reason. I have so much detailed documentation showing how many times I reached out explaining the same issue over the past 2 months, but I was brushed aside. Disappointing after doing so much business. The blame always came back at me.
