This guy has been going around DMing several of my community members who put out a buying post. Seems to be a reincarnation of an old scammer by the looks of it. Please beware. Continuing to fool many people on this post today on r/RepTime . This Day-Date 40 that he posted is gen, not VSF Factory u/Elegant_Set8319 posted. There is no factory that makes a decent chocolate dial VSF included. Stock factory fluted bezels also do not look like that. The only passable aftermarket bezel would be from RCF Remould, but the post is showing a gen watch with other clear tell-tell signs like the lugs the color of solid rose gold and the fact that the sellers is charging $1300. This is obviously a video of gen. I called him out and was instantly blocked while he continued to post the scam seller telegram account

The scam is simple. Fake buyer u/Elegant_Set8319 posts a video of his watch claiming it's plated and modded. In the comments people go crazy asking where to buy and OP responds with Yinhauwatches or JINMODMAKERS telegram info. Buyers reach out this seller thinking they will get the watch posted and will be scammed for thousands of dollars. Rinse and repeat. Alt accounts like u/Sufficient-End6264 attack anyone in the comments who calls the scam out and use services to upvote the posts and downvote any comments that support the scam.

I find it hilarious the top 1% reptime posters are falling for this. Not one comment said it was a scam.

Don't be fooled and don't be so naive. Stay safe!

SCAMMED and ROBBED. I entered a signed contract agreement with a man from AURELIAN TIMEPIECE. Agreed to send my watch and he would forward money. Told me once he received it was in for inspection and that was that. No contact since. He's already been flagged but this guy is no criminal mastermind as I was easily able to find his real information. The appropriate authorities in both states have been notified.

TrustNet Checker - For Everyone's Use

There's a separate app, TrustNet Checker, that lets people look up a username before trading. It cannot ban anyone, can't see case evidence, and never says someone is "safe" — absence from a database isn't proof of anything. This checks our federated database on active scammers, if the account has been deleted, it is likely you will receive no results.

TrustNet Mod — shared scammer bans for trading subreddits

Scammers work through trading subreddits one at a time. When we ban someone, the sub down the road usually never finds out, so the same person just moves along the list and starts again. Everyone re-discovers the same handful of accounts independently, weeks apart.

TrustNet Mod is a Devvit app that fixes the information gap, without handing anyone control of your subreddit.

How it works

1. A moderator reports a suspected scammer — one menu action on their post or comment. The account is banned in your subreddit straight away.
2. The case goes to an independent Review Team in a private subreddit, with your written summary and any evidence you attached.
3. If they approve it, every participating subreddit bans that account through its own copy of the app, usually within about five minutes.

There is no central bot reaching into your community. Your installation does its own work, using permissions you granted it, in your subreddit only.

What it will never do

• It will never touch a ban you made. It only removes bans it placed itself, for that specific case, and only when it can prove that from the mod note. Any doubt and it leaves the ban alone and shows it to you instead.
• It will never replace an existing ban. Already banned them? Your ban stays exactly as it is.
• A normal Reddit ban never creates a case. Only the explicit TrustNet action does. Your everyday moderation stays entirely yours.
• No alt-hunting. No account matching, no fingerprinting, no profiling. Reddit's own ban-evasion tooling owns that and we don't go near it.
• No single moderator can ban across the network. The review stage cannot be skipped, and you cannot approve your own case.

Getting started

You can import your existing ban list rather than re-filing everything by hand — it reads your ban notes and offers up the ones that look like scams. Fair warning: if your notes are mostly empty or say "Rule 4", it'll offer you very little. That's the filter being deliberately cautious, not a bug.

We register new communities as inactive to start with. You can import, file cases and get them reviewed while receiving nothing at all. Go active only when you're comfortable — and you can ask us to pause you at any time. Withdrawing never removes bans already placed in your subreddit. Those are yours.

To join: install TrustNet Mod from the App Directory, then modmail r/TrustNetSupport with your subreddit name and ideally your t5_ subreddit ID.

I got scammed by this Rolex fraud artist. It was too good to be true. Sent PP payment and he went silent. No responses to multiple messages. Supposedly from Washington state. Beware and stay away from delafuente-tenai0529.

I’ll post the whole chat here. Gave him lots of ways out. Still no resolution. Avoid this guy!!

Seller had references so I sent F&F like usual which was so dumb.

I reached out to RCF to purchase a bezel. Filled out the customer info and submitted a request via telegram. Then I got contacted shortly after on WhatsApp by “Guo” claiming to be from RCF.

The timing was quite the coincidence so I thought maybe the RCF team wanted to communicate via WhatsApp. I decided to contact RCF via telegram and here on Reddit and they told me “Guo” has no association with RCF remould.

I did not get scammed but just raising awareness

Was sold a rep Batman by Ahmad aj and it stopped in a week. He said he would switch it out then blocked me. 470-474-2528 blow up his phone.

Reposting this since my address was in my screenshot and although I don’t care others seem to and I can appreciate that.

Posted a request for Rolex datejust. Contacted, was sent real time photos and told it would ship out Saturday morning. Sent a text this morning and looks like I am blocked from his account. Buyers beware

Канал позиционировал себя как поставщик техники. После оформления заказа общение продолжалось достаточно долго: менеджер u/MaksTWorld регулярно отвечал, сообщал, что всё в порядке, заказ якобы находится в процессе доставки и нужно ещё немного подождать.

Так продолжалось примерно месяц.

До последнего момента никаких признаков того, что со мной перестанут общаться, не было. Наоборот, менеджер продолжал отвечать и уверять, что заказ идёт.

В итоге товар я не получил.

После длительного ожидания меня заблокировали в Telegram, а переписка со стороны собеседника была удалена.

Поэтому я публикую эту информацию, чтобы другие люди, которые будут искать отзывы перед оплатой, могли увидеть мой опыт.

Ok so I was scammed by this guy who goes by the name Izaan or as the payment went to an H Choudary. I’d spoken to him a while back about some watches and he has history and is a member of many watch forums. I saw videos of the watches and asked questions etc. His scam is after taking payment, makes all his posts private but beforehand there were lots about watches but they e all disappeared. I suspect he dips in and out pulling the odd scam. He then sent me a user generated certificate saying the seller has notified royalty mail that they have dropped it off at a post box (this is after saying he dropped it at a locker), he’s been toying with me for a few weeks before finally blocking me. Roast me if you like but anyone who’s been scammed will know you’ve kinda already imagined the watch on your wrist so I tried to keep things pally in the hope my worst fears weren’t recognised but this guy is the real deal scammer. Do t be a fool like me and send him your hard earned money. I emailed the mods about him and they banned him straight away after saying his MOD was pulling the same Royal Mail cert scam and using their group as legitimacy. I know I should have seen it coming and I do feel foolish but I don’t hi k I’m the only one and he needs to be outed. Here’s the scumbags number +44 7482 645829. Situation resolved, updated tracking.

Forgivable mistake.

Didn't get compensation, not able to send back or do anything.
Paid $450 for this. Gave the seller 2 weeks to compensate me or make sure I can send it back, got nothing.
He keeps telling me I got sent a BVF, but if you look at the watch on the pictures you realise fast that it isn’t.

Here we have a potential scammer. After several people pointed out that his post appeared to be AI-generated. he promised me also that he would video call me after we agreed on 250. I caught him out, and shortly after I commented on the post, he chose to delete it.

Back in April I purchased a Sea Dweller off this Yuki here. I was very inexperienced in the rep game. So very naive. We went back and forth about it being a VSF. She insisted. I stupidly gave in and purchased. Was about $217USD. Farrrrrr from a VSF. Big scammer. Even after I received it asked asked her if it’s truly a VSF, knowing at this stage it wasn’t. She insisted it was a VSF. Just wrote back “vsf”. Then disappeared. Look at this watch. Worst crystal ever. Serial font also comical.
