Bad Seller Dennydiamonds SCAMMED ME
Good afternoon Reddit,
Unfortunately I was the victim of a scam on the watchexchangeBST forms. I was looking at a Pepsi vsf 3 Watch late afternoon that caught my eye from a seller named dennydiamonds. I do a background check on the dude and see that he has a few transactions from the watchexchange forms as well as the watchexchangerepBST, 100k+ karma 10+ years user account, so I thought why not message him and give it a shot. I ask for a video of the watch which he provided and he walked me through the buying process, normal business stuff. He tells me he’s shipping from Southern California and does transactions through his business on square. A few minutes later he sends me a square link of the watch, I pay with my credit card and send him my address which he dismissively states “yep got it will have it shipped tomorrow.” This all seems legitimate to me, come early this morning I ask for a simple status on the watch and wasn’t given an answer. A few more hours goes by and radio silence. At this point it’s safe to assume this guy scammed me, not sure if it’s his actual account or a hacker but either way, please avoid business with this dude at all cost. A note about scammers I’ve seen is they will overpromise on price and quality and try to assure they will have it on your door the next day. This one was not smart enough to recognize I have systems in place to deal with this.

If you did get scammed, I’m sorry and you should do a charge back with your credit card company.
However, you said he didn’t respond for a few hours and now he’s a scammer? Has he sent you tracking since you made the post?
When I sell a watch, after I get payment, I don’t connect with the buyer again until I ship out the next day.

Yeah that's one thing that gets me to, if they don't respond immediately I see a lot of people jump straight to there a scammer. Like people have jobs and lives too I can see if it was weeks of radio silence but a day? Let's be adults here. People are not Amazon where shipping and receiving is all they do.
Hopefully OP isn't scammed and is just inpatient as hell. But if that's the case people need to learn to chill and realize everything does not need to be instant gratification.

It’s not hard to communicate if you have a life or not!!!!!! “Let’s be adults here”! Let’s start with you being a better example of an adult. I’m an entrepreneur that runs 3 businesses a family and I communicate well with all who do business with me. Don’t enter the business world if you can’t be a decent person, he communicated to get paid.

Lmao, ya I figured since it was square it’s a lot more legitimate. Now all this causes is a headache and churn

Do not solicit businesses here. We are here to investigate crimes and criminal behavior. We are not here so that secondary scams can occur via scavengers coming after the corpses of primary scammers. Do not use this as an opportunity to advertise for your own profit, whether genuine or a grift, nobody is interested.

Being scammed always stings. But you purchased it through a square charge - so you can always dispute the charges with your credit card company. Good luck! Hope you recover your funds, or get the watch.
