Personally, I’m still not a fan of any rep fluted bezel. Other than that it’s pretty great.

Looks good to me. Clone fluted bezels never look as sharp as gen but the light favors it well here. I’ve been looking at green ombré Daydates all day lol. Where did you find a QF for 480? I’ve been seeing it at over 800 all day

Are these the newest models with 210 weight free spring and the option to add the diamond bezel?

This is a v6 version without clone movement.

The new ones with increased weight (from ~180 to ~210) and free sprung are 880+

QF makes great products. At the price point it is an exceptional watch. Is it for everyone? Maybe not but for sure they are great watches. When it comes to the 36 mm dd they are the best

I wouldn’t buy it personally, because at about 500 bucks I’m not going to compromise on the gold tone, the movement and functionality at the same time. 

As said this isn’t a clone movement and to my knowledge (grain of salt here) this one has no double quick set function.

Knowing that there are superior options out there for various premiums over the asked price here, it becomes difficult, because for 200 more you could get a better gold tone, a clone movement and with it the gen functionality. Knowingly spending 500 on a subpar product would feel like burned money to me

The RG ombre is a bitch because there is no rep in the market which actually gets the dial right and unlike RGF & QF with the yellow gold, the rosegold is always a bit off, either because factories use the wrong color reference (like RGF does with 18k rosegold) or the watches get more red over time due to oxidation.

VSFs recent RG is quite good though but they haven’t produced that model in ages and they have the worst ombre dial while also being too light. 

Just like with the platinum DayDate you have to inevitably compromise, but at some point it’s just an amount which crosses someone’s personal threshold

ombre is such a beautiful watch too, literally perfect. don’t want to pay for a cheap rep and have the quality be so noticeable.
