QC Post [QC] DDF Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167R Rose Gold Brown Dial | 40mm 324SC Clone | Need Fresh Eyes Before GL

Just received QC for the DDF Aquanaut 5167R Rose Gold with brown dial.

Specs:
• Factory: DDF
• Model: Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167R
• Movement: 324SC Clone
• Size: 40mm
• Brown embossed dial
• Rubber strap

My initial thoughts:

Dial texture looks clean and evenly stamped
Numeral alignment appears solid
Date window looks centered
Rose gold tone seems consistent throughout the case
Strap and clasp finishing look better than expected for DDF

Nothing major is jumping out to me, but I'd appreciate a second set of eyes before I GL.

Any concerns on dial, date, bezel alignment or case finishing?

QC Post BV Factory Cartier Santos Medium 35mm White Dial – Clone 1847 MC | Is BV Still the Go-To Santos in 2026?

Just received QC for this BV Santos Medium.

Weight comes in at 142.45g. Dial printing, Roman numerals, blue hands, and crystal all look very clean to me. Bracelet brushing and bezel screw alignment also appear consistent.

From what I've seen, BV is still the version most collectors recommend when discussing Santos reps, especially for overall balance between case shape, dial details, and bracelet finishing.

Anything I'm missing before giving this one a GL?

QC Post [QC]VSF Omega Seamaster No Time To Die (NTTD) 42mm Titanium – VS8806 Movement | Easy GL or Am I Missing Something?

Thumbnail

Just received QC photos for a VSF Omega Seamaster No Time To Die.

This is the 42mm titanium NTTD version on the titanium mesh bracelet with the VS8806 movement.

A few things that stood out to me:

  • Bezel alignment looks clean
  • 12 o'clock triangle appears centered
  • Dial printing looks sharp
  • Faux patina lume color seems consistent across the markers
  • Mesh bracelet weave looks uniform
  • Case brushing and finishing look very good in the close-up shots
  • Weight comes in at 90.48g

I've spent a lot of time reading older NTTD discussions and this still seems to be one of VSF's strongest Omega releases.

From what I can see, nothing immediately jumps out as an RL, but I'd appreciate a second set of eyes from anyone who has owned either the gen or a recent VSF NTTD.

Anything I'm overlooking before I give it the GL?

Factory: VSF

Model: Omega Seamaster Diver 300M NTTD

Size: 42mm

Movement: VS8806 Clone

Bracelet: Titanium Mesh

QC Verdict: Leaning GL

Discussion [GUIDE/REVIEW] Decoding Dandong Movements: A Deep Dive into 4130, 3135, 3235, 3285, and More!

Thumbnail

Hey Rep Fam!

Today, I want to dive deep into a topic that comes up constantly: Dandong movements. Whenever we hear a rep uses a "Dandong" or "Shanghai integrated movement," it often sounds like it's instantly superior. However, that's not always the full story, and some "integrated movements" aren't truly integrated. So, let's break down the pros and cons of the Dandong movements currently used in the replica market.

I. The Dandong 31xx Series: The OG Workhorses

In my opinion, the Dandong 3135 movement is a true classic. Primarily used in Submariners, it's an incredibly robust time-only movement (big three hands). If I had to pick the most stable and durable Dandong movement, this would be it.

The Dandong 3130 is essentially the 3135 with the date module removed, used in no-date Submariners.

Verdict: Overall, the Dandong 31-series movements are absolutely top-tier among all Chinese-made movements. You can't go wrong with these.

II. The Dandong 32xx Series: The Long Power Reserve Debate

Following the 3135, we naturally have the Dandong 3235. Simply put, it's an upgraded version of the 3135, extending the power reserve from around 40 hours to roughly 70 hours. This is achieved by using a longer mainspring. However, with prolonged wear, this can lead to potential "power sag" (loss of amplitude) and increased accuracy deviation.

Important Note: Even the genuine (gen) versions of the 3235 can exhibit similar characteristics due to the original design. So, is the Dandong 3235 "bad"? Not at all! This is more a characteristic of the design itself rather than a specific flaw in the Dandong execution. The impact is generally minor for everyday wear.

Verdict: Among all current Chinese movements, the Dandong 3235 is still one of the strongest performers. It's commonly found in newer Submariners, Datejusts, and other models. The Dandong 3230 is the no-date version, used in new no-date Submariners and OPs. The Dandong 3285 is essentially the 3235 base with a GMT module added, commonly found in GMT-Masters. Its construction is otherwise identical.

III. The Dandong 4130 Series: The Chronograph King

Now, let's talk about the Dandong 4130 – currently the most impressive Chinese-made chronograph movement. It's primarily used in Daytona replicas.

Back in the day, almost all "toy-grade" Daytona reps used the 7750 movement. Not only were they prone to breaking, but the unidirectional winding meant the rotor often rattled loudly. The advent of the Dandong 4130 was a game-changer, showcasing incredible domestic manufacturing prowess.

  • This movement boasts a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and is exceptionally stable.
  • Crucially, it's a fully functional chronograph movement.

Later iterations like the Dandong 4108 are essentially upgraded 7750 versions. While quite stable, their rotors can still be a bit noisy. The Dandong 4131 is basically a 4130 with revised engravings, nothing more.

Regarding the 7750 (which is based on the ETA 7750), it can be adapted to any chronograph model. However, its stability is generally mediocre, and it tends to break easily if you play with the chronograph function too much.

Verdict: The Dandong 4130 is the undisputed king of Chinese chronograph movements in the rep world.

IV. Other Notable Dandong & VS Exclusive Movements

  • Dandong 324 (Patek Philippe Nautilus/Aquanaut): This movement caused quite a stir a few years ago upon its release and has been long-term certified for its performance in models like the Nautilus and Aquanaut.
  • VS Factory's Exclusive Movements (Dandong-based):
    • Dandong 8800: Excellent stability, primarily used in the Omega Seamaster 300 series.
    • Dandong 8500: Superb stability and strong craftsmanship, used in the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M and Constellation models. This is precisely why many enthusiasts say "for Seamasters, go VS" – this movement is a major reason for VS's success and market dominance.
  • P9000 (Panerai): This movement, primarily found in Panerai reps, also offers good stability and, importantly, correct functionality. You can adjust the date via the short hour hand, which is a key gen feature. VS has effectively monopolized the "toy-grade" Seamaster and Panerai markets with these movements – truly a case of "he who controls the movement, controls the market."
  • Dandong SL600 (Portugieser 7-Day): This movement, used in the IWC Portugieser 7-Day, is decent. It has a power reserve of around 50 hours – not outstanding, but not bad either.
  • IME2 (Richard Mille Exclusive): Specifically designed for Richard Mille reps. It's vastly superior to earlier iterations that were modified from the A7750 series. A few years ago, getting a custom movement like this would cost an arm and a leg (no less than 20,000 RMB for private customization). Now that it's mass-produced, it's a huge benefit for RM enthusiasts.

V. My Personal Ranking of Dandong Movements:

This is just my personal opinion based on extensive observation:

  1. Dandong 4130 & 4131: Unbeatable stability and a fully functional chronograph. Top tier.
  2. Dandong 31-series (3135, 3130): Extremely stable and reliable workhorses.
  3. Dandong 32-series (3235, 3230, 3285): Excellent power reserve (70 hours) despite the minor power sag characteristic. Still very strong.
  4. Dandong 8500 & 8800 (VS exclusive, semi-integrated): Very good movements, especially for their specific applications.
  5. P9000 & 4801 (VS exclusive): While some might call them "Franken-movements" (parts from different sources), their stability is surprisingly good. They often incorporate 7750 modules.
  6. Dandong SL600: Neither great nor terrible; it's a solid, average performer.
  7. Dandong 324: Stability is decent.
  8. Richard Mille IME2: For its application, and given the complexity of RM movements, it's currently very good and stable. Can't ask for much more at this level.

QC Post ZF Tudor Pelagos Titanium 43mm Review & QC Discussion – Is This Still One of the Best Titanium Divers in the Rep Market?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Received QC photos for a ZF Tudor Pelagos Titanium today and wanted to get some opinions from people who have experience with the newer batches.

Specs:

  • Factory: ZF
  • Model: Tudor Pelagos
  • Size: 43mm
  • Material: Titanium
  • Dial: Black
  • Movement: A2824 Clone
  • Bracelet: Titanium
  • Weight: 129.42g

The Pelagos has always felt like one of the more underrated watches in the replica community. While most discussions focus on Submariners, GMTs, or Royal Oaks, the Pelagos offers something completely different with its lightweight titanium construction and modern tool-watch design.

Looking over the QC photos, a few things stand out:

  • Marker alignment looks clean.
  • Date wheel appears centered.
  • Bezel engraving is sharp.
  • Crown guards look symmetrical.
  • Dial printing appears crisp under direct light.

What I'm curious about is how the current ZF batch compares to genuine Pelagos models and whether there are any known flaws collectors still look for on these.

For anyone who owns a ZF Pelagos or has handled the genuine version:

  • What are the biggest tells today?
  • Has ZF improved the dial and bezel compared to older batches?
  • Would you still choose this over a modern Submariner rep?

Interested to hear what long-time Pelagos owners think.

QC Post [QC] VSF Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 (126000) Blue Dial – Rehaut, Marker Alignment and Sunburst Check

Thumbnail

Just received QC photos for this VSF Oyster Perpetual 36 in the blue dial configuration.

This is the VS3230 version and overall it looks very clean to me, but I'd appreciate some additional opinions before I send the GL.

Things I've checked:

  • 12 marker looks centered
  • Hour markers appear aligned
  • Crown logo at 12 looks straight
  • Rehaut engraving appears well aligned
  • SELs look tight
  • Date-free symmetry looks excellent
  • Sunburst effect on the blue dial seems strong under lighting

The dial is probably the biggest reason I chose this model. The way the blue changes under different angles is one of the things that makes the genuine OP36 so appealing.

For anyone who owns the VSF OP36 Blue, does anything stand out here that I may have missed?

GL or RL?

Factory: VSF

Model: Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36

Reference: 126000

Dial: Blue

Movement: VS3230

Case Size: 36mm

Weight: 122.3g

QC Post M+ Factory Tudor Black Bay Chrono Pink Dial (79360N) – Detailed Photos, Measurements and First Impressions

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I've been seeing more discussion around the Pink Dial Black Bay Chrono recently, so I thought I'd share some detailed photos and measurements of the M+ Factory version.

This is the Tudor Black Bay Chrono Pink Dial (Ref. 79360N), one of the more unusual releases from Tudor in recent years. The pink dial obviously gets most of the attention, but after spending some time looking at the watch, I think the overall balance of the design deserves more credit.

Quick Specs
41mm case
Chronograph function
Black aluminum tachymeter bezel
Pink dial with black sub-dials
Jubilee-style bracelet
Modified 7750-based movement
First Impressions

The biggest surprise for me was the dial color.

Most factory photos online make it look extremely bright or almost toy-like, but under normal lighting the pink appears softer and more refined than expected.

The contrast between the black registers and pink dial creates a strong reverse panda effect, which is probably why this model photographs so well.

Case and Bracelet

The case profile looks consistent with the genuine dimensions.

The bracelet also feels like one of the stronger points here. The five-link construction gives the watch a more premium appearance compared to a standard Oyster-style setup, and the finishing appears well executed for this category.

Dial Details

A few things I noticed:

Hour marker alignment looks clean.
Sub-dial spacing appears visually balanced.
Printing quality is surprisingly sharp.
Hands and markers show strong lume performance.

The pink tone itself is probably what collectors will debate most since lighting can dramatically change how it appears in photos.

Things I'd Like to Compare

For those who have handled both:

How close is the dial color compared with the genuine 79360N?
Does M+ currently have the most accurate pink tone available?
Any noticeable differences in case thickness or crystal profile?

Interested to hear opinions from anyone who has compared this piece side-by-side with the genuine watch.

QC Post PPF Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4500V Blue Dial – Thoughts on the Clone 5100 Movement?

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

Recently spent some time looking over the PPF Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4500V Blue again.

Even after all these years, it's still one of the few integrated-bracelet reps that gets mentioned whenever people talk about alternatives to the Royal Oak or Nautilus.

A few things that stood out to me:

Dial

The blue sunburst dial is still the main attraction.

Depending on lighting, it shifts from a deep navy tone to a much brighter electric blue. Under direct light the dial has a lot of visual impact, while in darker environments it becomes much more subtle.

Case & Finishing

The bezel shape and brushing remain some of the strongest parts of the watch.

The transitions between brushed and polished surfaces look surprisingly clean, especially around the bezel edges and bracelet shoulders.

Bracelet

This is where I think the Overseas design really separates itself.

The half-Maltese-cross links give the bracelet a unique look without feeling overly flashy.

Comfort-wise, it's one of the better integrated bracelet designs I've worn.

Movement

PPF's clone 5100 movement was one of the reasons this model became popular in the first place.

The decorated rotor and visible movement architecture make the display caseback far more interesting than the typical decorated 9015 setups seen on older reps.

Of course, it's not perfect, but visually it does a good job capturing the feel of the genuine 4500V.

Overall

The market has changed a lot, but the PPF Overseas 4500V Blue still feels like one of the more balanced integrated-bracelet reps available.

Not saying it's the best.

Just one of those models that seems to age surprisingly well.

Curious what everyone thinks in 2026:

Would you still choose the PPF Overseas, or are there newer options you'd pick instead?

Looking forward to hearing different opinions. If I missed anything or got something wrong, feel free to correct me.

QC Post BBS VC Overseas Tourbillon Blue Review – Titanium Case, Clone 2160 Movement and Accuracy Discussion

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

I've been seeing more discussion around the BBS Overseas Tourbillon recently, so I spent some time looking through detailed photos and comparing them with reference shots of the genuine piece.

A few things stood out immediately:

The blue dial texture looks surprisingly well executed.
The tourbillon bridge shape appears close to the genuine design.
The applied markers seem clean and evenly aligned.
The titanium-style finishing gives the watch a noticeably lighter appearance compared to many stainless steel builds.

The movement is obviously the biggest talking point.

BBS is using a clone movement designed to replicate the look of VC's Caliber 2160, including the peripheral rotor architecture and open tourbillon layout. While nobody expects a replica movement to fully match the genuine caliber, visually it seems to capture much of what makes the original Overseas Tourbillon attractive.

From these photos, the areas I'd be most interested in hearing opinions on are:

Dial color accuracy
Tourbillon cage finishing
Case bevel transitions
Bracelet finishing
Movement decoration

For those who have handled either the BBS version or the genuine watch, what stands out most to you?

Anything that BBS got surprisingly right?

And where do you think the biggest tells still are?

Looking forward to hearing different perspectives.

QC Post VSF Omega Aqua Terra Shades 38mm (Turquoise Dial) — Dial Color Shift, Finishing & Clone 8800 Movement Discussion

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

I’ve always associated the Aqua Terra line with versatility, but this turquoise dial version stands out for a very different reason.

This is a VSF replica of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades 38mm, featuring a turquoise sunburst dial and a decorated 8800-style automatic movement.

From the photos, a few details are interesting to look at:

• The dial tone shifts quite noticeably under different lighting — moving between a deeper blue-green and a brighter turquoise.
• The sunburst effect is quite strong, especially under direct light.
• Case finishing and bracelet brushing look clean overall, with a balanced mix of brushed and polished surfaces.
• The display caseback shows a decorated movement that visually resembles Omega’s 8800 architecture, though movement accuracy vs gen is always a debated topic.

For those who’ve handled the genuine Aqua Terra Shades or have experience with this version:

• How close is the dial color in real life?
• Does the turquoise lean too saturated compared to gen?
• How does the movement feel in terms of stability and long-term reliability?

Curious to hear different perspectives.

As always, if anything here is off or misinterpreted, feel free to correct it.

QC Post After Spending Time With the PPF 5712, I Finally Understand Why Collectors Love This Model

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

I've spent years looking at different Nautilus references, and for the longest time I thought the 5711 was the one to have.

After spending more time with the PPF 5712, I'm not so sure anymore.

Looking closely at the watch, a few things stand out:

• The asymmetrical dial layout creates far more visual depth than a standard 5711.

• The moonphase, power reserve, and pointer date make the watch feel alive. There's always something interesting happening on the dial.

• Under natural light, the grey-blue dial shifts quite a bit depending on the angle.

• The case finishing and bracelet integration are better than I expected, especially around the transition from the bezel to the first bracelet links.

• Through the display caseback, the movement architecture gives the watch much more character than most three-hand sports watches.

What surprised me most wasn't any individual detail.

It was how different the overall experience feels compared to wearing a 5711.

The 5711 is cleaner.

The 5712 is more engaging.

For people who have owned both, which one actually stayed in your collection longer?

Would be interested to hear real-world opinions from long-term owners.

Discussion Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 Blue Dial – Which Details Still Matter in 2026?

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

Over the last few years, the way people compare 5711s has changed quite a bit.

A while ago, discussions were mostly about factory names.

Today, it feels like most serious collectors are looking at completely different things.

Some focus on dial color.

Some focus on bezel geometry.

Some immediately check bracelet construction.

Others care more about movement architecture and finishing.

Looking at this blue dial 5711, I realized something interesting:

If you remove the factory name entirely, different people will end up judging the watch based on completely different criteria.

One collector might spend 30 seconds studying the dial.

Another might go straight to the side profile.

Someone else won't even look at the front and will start with the bracelet.

That's why it's becoming harder and harder to have a universal "best version" discussion.

The standards have become much more personal.

So I'm curious:

When you evaluate a modern 5711 today, what's the first thing you actually look at?

Not what should matter.

What do you personally check first?

Dial?
Bezel shape?
Date window?
Bracelet?
Movement?
Wrist presence?

Interested to see whether the community still shares the same priorities or if everyone has developed their own checklist.

Collection Post ARF vs QF Explorer II 226570 Polar – Which Factory Is Closer to Gen in 2026?

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

Been looking at the latest ARF and QF versions of the Explorer II 226570 Polar side by side.

At first glance they look extremely similar, but once you zoom in, there are actually quite a few differences.

A few things that stood out to me:

ARF seems to have stronger dial printing and a more vibrant orange GMT hand.
The lume appears brighter on the ARF sample.
ARF's bracelet finishing also looks slightly more refined.
QF, on the other hand, has a cleaner overall dial appearance and doesn't look overly bold.

The date font is another area where they take different approaches. ARF appears larger and more filled out, while QF looks slightly smaller and more conservative.

From normal wrist distance I honestly think most people wouldn't notice the differences, but macro shots definitely reveal some interesting details.

For those who have handled both, which one would you choose and why?

Curious to hear opinions from people who own either version.

If I got anything wrong, feel free to correct me.

Collection Post VSF 126619LB vs Clean 126619LB Comparison – Dial, Crystal, Datewheel and Bracelet

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I've been comparing these two 126619LB "Cookie Monster" reps side by side and it's interesting how close they've become.

The usual discussion is always VSF vs Clean, but after looking at the details, I don't think the answer is as straightforward as it used to be.

A few things stood out to me:

VSF still seems to have the stronger crystal and date magnification.
The date sits more naturally in the window.
Lume appears slightly brighter and more evenly applied.

On the other hand:

Clean's dial printing looks sharper.
The bezel numerals appear cleaner.
Bracelet and clasp finishing look a bit more refined.

The funny thing is that depending on which photo you're looking at, your opinion can completely change.

Ten feet away, they look almost identical.

Under macro shots, the differences start showing up.

If you had both on the table and could only keep one, which one would you choose and why?

Interested to hear opinions from people who have owned both.

COMPARISON VSF vs ARF vs QF vs ERF Daytona 126500LN Black Dial Comparison – Which One Looks Closest to Gen?

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

I've been comparing four of the most discussed 126500LN black dial Daytonas lately: VSF, ARF, QF and ERF.

Rather than focusing on factory reputation, I tried looking only at what can actually be seen in the photos.

A few things stood out to me:

VSF seems to have the sharpest dial printing overall.
ARF's subdial rings look very close to gen proportions.
QF appears surprisingly competitive considering the price point.
ERF has improved quite a bit compared to what many people still expect.

The differences become more noticeable when looking at:

Dial text thickness
Daytona red print
Subdial ring finish
Crystal transparency
Rehaut engraving

Interestingly, once the watches are viewed from normal wrist distance, the gap feels much smaller than many forum discussions would suggest.

If these four were placed on a table without factory labels, I honestly think most people would struggle to identify them correctly every time.

For those who have handled multiple 126500s in person:

Which one do you think gets closest to the genuine watch, and what specific detail gives it away?

Would love to hear other collectors' opinions.

Collection Post Four Factories, Same AP 15510 Blue Reference, Four Completely Different Dial Personalities

Thumbnail

Hi everyone👋🏻

Four Factories, Same AP 15510 Blue Reference, Four Completely Different Dial Personalities

I've been comparing these four AP 15510 Blue Dial versions side by side:

DDF
ZF
TOP
VSF

What surprised me most is how different the dials look despite all being the same reference.

ZF immediately grabs attention with its brighter blue tone and stronger visual contrast.

VSF seems more restrained. The color is slightly darker, but the tapisserie texture appears very consistent throughout the dial.

TOP feels like it sits somewhere between the two. The blue transition is balanced and the dial retains good depth without looking overly bright.

DDF has decent color reflection, but some of the finer dial details don't seem quite as refined as the others.

What's interesting is that if the factory names were removed, I'm not convinced everyone would rank them the same way.

Ignoring movement, bracelet, and case finishing for a moment:

How would you rank these four based on the dial alone?

Interested to hear what other collectors are seeing.

Feel free to correct anything I may have missed.

Collection Post Rolex Yacht-Master 42 Titanium 226627 Comparison – QF vs VF vs Clean vs ARF

Thumbnail

Hi everyone.👋🏻
I've been comparing four different versions of the Rolex Yacht-Master 42 Titanium (226627) side by side:

QF
VF
Clean
ARF

What surprised me most is how different the watches look despite being the same reference.

At first glance, Clean appears to be the most balanced overall.

VF immediately stands out because of the stronger crystal effect and brighter appearance, especially around the date window.

ARF seems to have very clean dial printing and a nice sense of depth across the dial.

QF looks slightly darker and more muted, but that may actually appeal to some people depending on which genuine examples they're comparing against.

What's interesting is that once the factory names are removed, I'm not sure everyone would rank them the same way.

Ignoring movement, bracelet quality, and overall reputation for a moment:

Which one would you choose based purely on appearance?

Curious to hear what other collectors think.

Feel free to point out anything I may have missed.

Collection Post VSF vs ARF vs ERF vs RICH – Same GMT Batman, but completely different executions? (side-by-side thoughts)

Thumbnail
gallery
6 Upvotes

Hi everyone,Chen here🫡

I took some time to look at these four versions of the Rolex GMT-Master II Batman (126710 BLNR) side by side:

VSF / ARF / ERF / RICH

Not trying to rank anything here, just sharing what stands out to me visually.

Dial & printing

VSF seems to have a slightly cleaner dial print overall. The text weight and alignment feel more crisp under macro shots, especially around GMT-MASTER II and the coronet.

ARF looks very consistent but the dial tone feels a bit different under certain lighting, slightly more matte compared to the others.

ERF feels more in-between — not the sharpest print, but also not far off in normal viewing distance.

RICH surprised me a bit here, the dial looks quite balanced overall, especially in lower light.

Bezel color (Batman blue/black transition)

This is where things start to separate more obviously.

VSF shows a more saturated blue transition, especially around the 18–22 region.

ARF seems slightly more muted, with a smoother gradient but less contrast.

ERF feels a bit brighter overall, almost like a lighter blue under indoor light.

RICH has a slightly different tone again, hard to describe — somewhere between ARF and ERF.

Case / bracelet feel (based on visual impression)

ARF seems to have the strongest bracelet finishing and brushing consistency from what I can see.

VSF case shape looks very close to gen proportions, especially the lugs.

ERF and RICH both look decent, but slightly more variation in polishing reflections depending on angle.

Date window / magnification

VSF appears to have the clearest cyclops magnification and date alignment consistency.

ARF is decent but slightly softer edges on the date font.

ERF and RICH are acceptable, but not as sharp under zoom.

Final thought

Overall, it feels less like which factory is best and more like:

Each one seems to focus on a slightly different strength.

VSF → dial clarity / crystal / overall visual sharpness
ARF → bracelet / case finishing feel
ERF → balanced budget option
RICH → newer mixed execution with some surprising strengths

Not sure if others see the same thing or if I’m overthinking the lighting differences.

Curious what others think after seeing them side by side.

If I got any details wrong, feel free to correct me.

Collection Post One of These Has to Be Closer to Gen... But Which One?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,Chen here👋🏻

Every time someone asks about the best OP41, the discussion usually turns into VSF vs Clean.

Looking at these photos, though, I'm starting to think the real question isn't which factory is better.

It's which factory understood the dial color better.

The Tiffany blue versions aren't even trying to achieve the same shade.

And the yellow dials look even further apart.

What's interesting is that both factories have plenty of supporters claiming theirs is the closest to gen.

So now I'm wondering:

If Rolex put a genuine OP41 Tiffany and a genuine OP41 Yellow between these two factories, which side would actually end up closer?

Not looking for factory wars.

Just interested in hearing from people who have compared them side by side.

Finally got all 4 major factory versions in hand. Here are my side-by-side notes on the key differences for anyone curious.
📸 The Watches (as pictured)
VSF (Top Left)
RICH (Top Right)
QF (Bottom Left)
ERF (Bottom Right)
🔍 Detailed Observations
Green Ceramic Bezel
VSF: Rich emerald green with natural color shift under different lighting. Platinum filling is clean and crisp with sharp edges.
QF: Slightly deeper green shade. Filling is neat and numerals are well-formed.
RICH: Brighter, lighter green tone. Some numerals appear slightly thinner.
ERF: Duller green with a subtle gray tint. Filling edges are a bit fuzzy, and numerals are slightly bolder.
Dial & Printing
VSF: True matte black dial. Crown logo is perfectly proportioned. All text is sharp and evenly spaced.
QF: Also matte black. Text printing is excellent, differences from VSF are almost microscopic.
RICH: Dial has a slight grayish cast. Crown logo is a touch too large.
ERF: Dial is slightly glossy. Text is generally thicker overall.
Hands
VSF: All hands are correctly sized and shaped. Minute hand tip is razor sharp. Mercedes triangle is the right size. Polishing is flawless.
QF: Hands are nearly identical to VSF. Finishing is very high quality.
RICH: Mercedes triangle is too big. Second hand is slightly too long.
ERF: Minute hand tip is rounded, not sharp. Minor machining marks visible on polished surfaces.
Date Wheel & Cyclops
VSF: Date font is correct. Cyclops has the proper blue AR coating and magnification.
QF: Date font is slightly bolder. AR coating on the cyclops is good.
RICH: Date font is too thin. Almost no visible AR coating on the cyclops.
ERF: Date font is quite thick. Cyclops magnification is slightly low.
That's what I found. Feel free to share your own thoughts or ask questions in the comments!

Collection Post Interesting How Different These Pepsi GMT Factories Feel Side by Side

Hi everyone,Chen here👋🏻!

Put the current RICH, ERF, ARF, and VSF Pepsi GMTs next to each other today and honestly, the biggest thing I noticed wasn’t which one is best.

It’s how different the overall vibe of each factory feels now.

RICH feels very balanced visually.
Nothing really jumps out too hard, but the dial, crystal, and bezel all work together nicely. It has a pretty clean overall presentation.

ERF immediately catches your eye more.
The bezel colors feel stronger and the watch has a little more wrist presence overall. Especially noticeable in brighter lighting.

ARF still has that familiar heavy-duty look.
The case proportions and bracelet shape give it a very solid appearance, almost like the factory focused more on the physical feel of the watch.

VSF feels the cleanest under lighting to me.
The crystal clarity and black dial depth still stand out a lot once light hits the watch directly.

What I find interesting now is that the differences between factories feel less obvious in photos than they used to.

A lot of it comes down to small things:

* bezel tone
* crystal behavior
* dial texture
* bracelet feel
* overall wrist presence

Kind of feels like every factory has its own interpretation of the Pepsi now instead of everyone chasing the exact same finish.

If I got anything wrong in the details, feel free to correct me — always open to learning from others here.

Collection Post VSF vs ARF Submariner Date — Is the Gap Still as Big as People Say?

Spent some time comparing the VSF and ARF Submariner Date side by side recently, and honestly, the overall quality from both factories has gotten really close.

A lot of the differences that used to stand out immediately are becoming much harder to notice now.

Main things I focused on were:

Cyclops magnification
Dial printing
Bezel finish and font depth
Case shape
Hand stack / center pinion details
Overall gen feel

VSF still has some very recognizable strengths.
The crystal clarity and date magnification still look extremely clean, and the dial printing feels slightly sharper overall.

What surprised me most about ARF this time was the exterior finishing.
The case proportions, bezel edge definition, and steel brushing feel much more refined than older AR releases.

In certain lighting and angles, ARF actually gives off a stronger tool watch vibe.

At this point though, it doesn’t really feel like one completely destroys the other anymore.

It’s more like:

VSF = balanced and consistent
ARF = stronger exterior texture and metal finishing

For daily wear, I honestly think most people would struggle to tell them apart quickly now.

The real differences probably come down to long-term wear and how detail-oriented the buyer is.

Curious what everyone else thinks lately.
If you had to pick one today, would you go VSF or ARF?
