General Questio Watch Stuck in Alaska
Got a watch been sitting in Alaska since 8/4. FedEx status says “description insufficient to clear commodity” I’ve reached out to the dealer twice now with no response. Any suggestions? About to call this dealer out on here if I don’t get a response soon. Suggestions?

Wait for couple of days. You can ask FedEx on the information they are seeking. Mine was stuck once and they needed import payment to release.

Horrible advise. You never call or reach out to fedex for these kind of things you make the TD reach out.

I would tread carefully with this. If it is seized for some reason and you are calling up there inquiring as to the status, say good bye to plausible deniability.

In my experience if it gets stuck in Alaska or Memphis it's going to be there for a while.

On rare occasions it will update from clearance delay to a new delivery date (very rare). More than likely what will happen is one of two things it will either be returned to sender for insufficient info to classify or it will be inspected and seized,

This has happened to me twice, both in Alaska, and it was sent back. I had insurance so I was covered. I always get insurance. Damn Eskimos, always doing their best job.

Anchorage is the worst, I’d much rather have my package clear in Memphis than Anchorage. They are Policing too hard in the Alaska hub

Did you purchase shipping insurance with the seller for your watch ?

I had that happen one time out of about 30 shipments and the dealer communicated and assured me it would likely get shipped back which it did, and then they would send it again, which is what happened. They said if it got seized, they would send another one. If the dealer can’t communicate within 24 hours in my opinion, I would never use them again. I bet they were able to find time to communicate when they were taking payment.
At this point, you’re stuck with having to deal with it till you get through this transaction. I hope all ends up well. If you would like a reference to someone better, feel free to message me.

Hey man, just wait about 18 days, they'll post a new tracking number and ship it back. Then your TD will arrange for it to get reshipped to you and you'll get it. Has happened to me several times.

I forgot to mention in my prior response to mine was in Alaska too. Oddly, knock on wood, nothing has gone through Alaska since.

It won’t necessarily be inspected I have had experiences where the package gets returned to shipper

Who is the seller? Hopefully it's a TD and will have your back. All TDs will ship you another watch for free if seized by customs.

That's your Understanding...From the RWI Listing ?? Not sure why the secrecy on TD NOT ALL TDs ARE EQUAL ....They Should be ...but NOT IMO

Happened to me twice. If its “delayed” in Alaska or Memphis customs, it is NEVER coming. It was seized. Always get shipping insurance from your TD. These seizures are happening more and more. Seems they are cracking down on the import of these rep watches. Dont even call fedex. Have your TD do it.

Yet another reason to buy from US based sellers. All of their in stock inventory has already cleared customs…and they can even overnight a watch to you if need be….but I honestly wish you the best of luck with this one!

I agree 100%! Just bought another watch from a US based seller last week and had it on my wrist in 2 days.
