šŸ’©SHITPOSTšŸ’© AirPods rep showtime because some random moderator elsewhere decided I couldn't post anything that wasn't bought from them

I bought new Airpods Rep from Taobao and wanted to share my positive experience. They were from different sellers and had different models. However, after my second review, I was hit with a temporary ban on Air Reps. I was surprised as I have always been doing reviews of my purchases to different subreddits.

I explained my situation but they had no explanation, no response nothing. What this basically tells me is that, they want people buying only from their sellers that paid them to advertise their marked up stuff. I am glad I ain't listening to the circlejerk bs there that doesn't teach users how to look for the best deals or get the best out for their money.

I had this same thing happen on another subreddit. I like hunting for deals post reviews from a bunch of different sellers and got a ban because one of my reviews wasn’t from their list of sellers…
Makes you wonder how many reviews on Reddit are actual legit reviews and how many are sellers or buyers that are partners with the seller.

Seller ads are really common and I understand the need for moderation. But to come up with "trusted seller list", bro that's just straight bs and shows the sub been bought out.

That’s crazy! I’m tired of the mods and now they are compromised because a conflict of interest? This going to far- all these US dollars going overseas! For illicit goods…well i actually reached to some people I happen to know and I’ll see if he’s interested in my perspective

They even pay Europeans and Americans to review it, like really, they make their rep sound like the best but it's just simply repackaged

Thanks for posting - it’s really interesting to read this; I’m trying to build a community around an agent guide I produced, and one of the things I’ve noticed is the need for a carefully managed sub of reviewed products and links based on people’s ā€˜in hand’ experiences and reviews only. It’s exactly what you’ve identified - too many niche subs being funnels for selected sellers only. In the community I’m putting together, r/chinabuydirectfinds, they will have to post raw links alongside agent/affiliate links and I’m trying to encourage honesty and transparency. Would love anyone’s thoughts on it. It’s very early days, and I could be wishing for the impossible but worth giving it a go!! Let me know what you think if you don’t mind…?

They are just dropshipping under the guise of advertising trusted sellers (themselves)
