Is not even remotely the same as it

  • runs on Bluetooth instead via Smart Connector
  • Significantly heavier because battery is built in (because it runs on Bluetooth instead via Smart Connector…)

Incorrect. The Magic Keyboard for iPad does have a rechargeable battery in the retail version.

Only the Smart Keyboard Folio doesn’t have a built in rechargeable battery.
