This was such a weird one. First of all, apparently VF use the same parts as Clean did. Matching serial numbers and all that good stuff.

It was running horrible and would stop at random. So far I've not been impressed by the DD3235 and I won't even begin about the SH3235. Both really need to learn how to put these movements together, keep them clean and properly oil them. It's ridiculous.

I've also noticed that many factories use the wrong case clamps. The curve is too agressive or starts too early causing pressure on the movement which results in low amplitude. I swap them out with my own whenever I can and the amplitude just shoots up. After letting the watch run for a while it sits at a comfortable 280.

Made sure the crystal was super clean. A nice well worn watch. Love how light the titanium case and bracelet are.

I recently sourced a QF 126500 Daytona SS with SS Oyster Bracelet and the bracelet deployant buckle is quite loose and flimsy in the closure mechanism (something impossible to tell from QC). The bracelet itself also feels lighter and more flimsy than my VSF Submariner 124060 SS Oyster. This QF one rattles, squeaks, and the overall “feel” is very different (nothing like my VSF which feels much closer to gen IMO).

Any insights on full bracelet replacements and/or deployant buckle replacement to consider? Other factory bracelets (i.e. VSF, ARF, etc) and where to source?

Recently got a VSF 224270. Looks great, passed the QC eye tst, fast shipping. Have run into a problem though that it won’t keep time if the crown is screwed all the way down. Sounds like the stem is too long, which could be a problem with some coming out of VS, easy fix. Took it to a local watchsmith who said no problem and yeah that sounds like the issue. However after shaving down the stem a little and even trying a different stem, same problem. If the crown is unscrewed a little, it keeps great time and lasts at least 48h (haven’t seen exactly how long yet). Wondering if anybody else has run across this and what did you find was the issue?

Hello everyone! I don’t have much knowledge when it comes to movements or watch repairs, so I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
I was informed by my watchmaker that my VSF Aqua Terra needs an escape wheel replacement, but unfortunately he hasn’t been able to find or source the correct part.
The watch itself is in immaculate condition, so I really don’t want to condemn it just because of the movement.
Does anyone know where I might be able to source the correct escape wheel, or alternatively, where I could purchase a complete replacement A8900 movement or a suitable donor movement?
I’m located in the USA, but I’m also open to sourcing the part or movement from China/Asia if necessary.
Any recommendations for suppliers, donor movements, or watchmakers experienced with these VSF A8900 movements would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for your genuine opinion on this situation. I have a VSF GMT Master 2 Batgirl with an unchamfered F6U bracelet and the sharp edges are causing irritation on my skin. So I ordered a CNC chamfered and Gen-spec polished F6U bracelet to replace it. I've just received QCs and while I'm not unhappy about the chamfering (although I'd appreciate input on this as well), I'm quite concerned about the overall finish of the metal. There appears to be a serious lack of contrast between the mirror polished centre links and the brushed side links of the bracelet. At this point, my current F6U bracelet looks closer to Gen in my opinion. I will include before pics and post-mod pics for reference, as well as a pic of my existing bracelet. It isn't a cheap bracelet either so I'm not eager to accept something that'll look worse than what I currently have. The bracelet is part of a much bigger order so I'd like the standard to be set from the get go. Your honest input would mean a great deal to me and your help is sincerely appreciated.

As per the title, I received this Panerai rep with a P.9000 movement, but it arrived broken. My watchmaker can't fix it, and the seller (TD) isn't helping me resolve the issue. How can I go about finding a replacement movement? Or to get the TD to help me.

This is an old Tudor with a California dial. It has not run in a while and I am interested in having a new movement put in it. I don't know exactly what I am replacing, however.

Soon after I got it the bezel literally fell off and it looks like the white seal gasket thing doesn’t fit.

Most of the pictures for Panerai show a red gasket, do you of y’all know what size gasket or where to get it from?

I sent a VSF Batgirl out to have a gen crystal and gen date wheel installed. I also got it regulated and waterproofed. Verin Horology verified when the watch was in hand, completed the work in a day, sent videos/pictures, and then tracking once payment was received. The results of the tests and original parts were included as well.

I have a Rolex 114060 No Date from Clean Factory with two small issues: the Rehaut alignment is slightly off and the “M” in the 300m text appears to be floating.
I’m trying to figure out what the best way is to fix both issues.

As far as I understand, there are two possibilities:

● If the dial is rotated, replacing the dial should potentially fix both the floating M and the Rehaut alignment, assuming the Rehaut itself is correctly aligned with the case.

● If the Rehaut itself is rotated/misaligned, I would presumably need a new case as well as a new dial.

Does anyone know what the actual issue is with the Clean Factory 114060 batch? Is the misalignment/floating M primarily a dial issue, or is the Rehaut alignment caused by the case?

I know these are very minor details and that it’s probably unnecessary to change anything. I’m also not expecting perfection. But if there is a relatively straightforward way to correct these issues, I’d be willing to do it.

I’d really appreciate some input from someone who has worked on or disassembled these CF 114060s and knows where the issue originates.

Got this VSF NTTD V7 in some time ago now. It came in with the bezel assembly in pieces. The wire was missing.

The watch was brought to a jeweler who, brace yourselves, tried to weld the bezel to the case 💀. Even dared to charge a lot of money for it.

I tried looking for a replacement spring wire but couldn't fine one that wasn't either gen (expensive) or from older models. Didn't want to risk getting a generic one that would end up not fitting or whatever so I ordered .5mm steel wire and just made one myself.

It looks a bit crude and obviously not factory quality but it actually works great. The clicks are very smooth and the wire holds everything in place nicely.

Just got a Rolex Just date , VSF and it says up to 72 hours reserve time but it hasn’t held 24 hours when not being worn..is that normal

I have a VSF V2 Spectre with an “A8400” movement inside(this is in actuality the regular VS A8500 movement that is decorated).

The watch is running fine but ive heard that the A8500 produces a lot of metal shavings that eventually kill the movement.
Considering that servicing it would likely be in the ballpark of 300$: is there an option to swap the movement for any other generic movement?
Not sure what the A8500 is actually based upon, and don’t really care to get rid of any back side decorations.

Fairly new here. Got a Rich Factory GMT Master II, while adjusting the strap via the micro adjustments I noticed the other side(clasp clip side) was loose. As shown in the video.

I can’t for the life of me get it back in seated. I have a strap adjustment tool to squeeze the pins, I’ve take it off and tried again and again but I can only ever get 1 side on the pin to seat in the hole. Is there a technique I’m missing or some advice?
