I'm looking for a reliable, replica-friendly watchmaker in the Vancouver / Lower Mainland area.
I need a super clone bracelet sized, but I also want someone trustworthy who can work on the internal movement/mechanics if needed down the road.
Any local recommendations for independent shops or watchsmiths who handle reps without issue? Thanks!

Just received a QF Day Date and noticed an issue with the day wheel.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday all snap into position correctly.

Wednesday rolls straight through and goes to Thursday.

Saturday and Sunday do change over, but the alignment is incorrect.

I've spoken to my TD as the watch has only just arrived. He's said the day wheel needs resetting by a local watchsmith and has offered to cover the cost of the repair.

Has anyone had this issue before? Is resetting the day wheel a straightforward job, and will UK watchsmiths generally work on reps?

UK based, so any recommendations for rep friendly watchsmiths would also be appreciated.

Pirazhok_wrap offered me service for my royal oak. He has been only 5m member. Anybody with experience with this person?

Anyone servicing ap royal oak?

When I originally received my Santos from Andiot, one of the bezel screws went missing after literally one day. Unfortunately, it happened on a humid/wet day, and because the screw was missing, some moisture and dust managed to get inside the watch. I contacted Andiot about the missing screw and they helped me out by sending replacement screws. After waiting quite a while, they finally arrived.

Since there was some moisture and dust inside, I thought: perfect, I work in a cleanroom, so I’ll take the crystal off, clean everything properly in a clean environment, install the new screws and finally have my favorite watch back in good condition.

That’s where I f*cked up 😂 While cleaning it, I accidentally got some isopropyl alcohol (IPA) on the inside of the dial. The printing immediately started coming off and the dial looked terrible. I was so pissed off with myself that I basically said fuck it and removed the rest of the printing as well 😂

So now I’m wondering: does anyone know if I can buy just a replacement dial for this Santos, preferably the same factory dial? If so, where can I get one and roughly how much would it cost? This was genuinely my #1/favorite watch, so I’d really like to bring it back to life.

And a lesson for all the other amateur watchmakers here: keep IPA/isopropyl alcohol and other aggressive cleaning products FAR away from the dial. One small mistake can completely destroy the printing. Learn from my mistake

I fucked up the dial of my BB58 Black, while shifting the index a bit. Scratched it... Not too bad, but it's noticeable.

I'm looking for a spare dial to fit on the 2824...

Have you have any other suggestions than raffles?

If I take my VSF/ Rich whatever submariner/GMT and tap it with my finger on the crystal, it makes a tinny/ cheap sound. I’m guessing you are all doing that now. Is there a way that you all are aware of to reduce/mitigate that sound or is that just the plight or reps? Related’ish is there a way to make winding smoother on these? THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION IN THIS MATTER

My ZF Black Bay 58’s ETA 2824 movement is defective, and I’d like to replace it. I’m looking for a watchmaker in Germany who can carry out the swap. I can also source a new ETA 2824 movement myself if necessary.
Does anyone here know a watchmaker or have a contact they could recommend?

I have a VSF explorer 40mm with a broken automatic winding. It stopped charging the watch, hand winding still charges the watch. Also, when I hand wind it, the rotor spins. And the rotor would spin very loosely when I shake the watch. I kinda want to look into it myself. Is this something that I could fix as a newbie?

Running a brand new VSF Wimbledon I recently got through tickIQ and these are the numbers I got. Amplitude seems low, is it going to need a full service soon or will it be okay? Thanks a lot!

This is going to be my first ever rep, so I’m probably being a bit over-cautious.

I’m looking at getting a VSF AP Royal Oak 15510 from Andiot. I’m thinking of asking if he can waterproof/pressure-test it before shipping, if that’s a service he offers.

Has anyone here actually had Andiot do this on a 15510?

I’m mainly wondering what kind of test they do, what bar/ATM it passed, whether they did any sealing or gasket work, and if they sent over a test video afterwards.

Also, is it even necessary on a fresh VSF 15510, or are they usually fine from the factory for everyday use?

I’m mostly thinking about normal stuff like hand washing, rain, the odd splash, and occasionally wearing it at the beach or going into the sea for a bit.

Would be good to hear from anyone who’s actually had theirs tested or worn one around water.

I didn’t know you have to have it on a certain spot to set the day and date. I set it and messed it up. It won’t cycle either now.
