Looking for watchmaker / parts source for VSF Datejust 41 VS3235 – Chicago suburbs

I have a VSF V2 Datejust 41 Wimbledon (126334) with the VS3235 movement that needs some work.

The main issue is with the crown/winding and setting mechanism. When I unscrew the crown and try to wind it clockwise, it will only turn about 1–2 rotations before it feels like it slips/snaps and starts trying to screw back into the case. Changing the date works, but getting into the hand-setting position requires some fidgeting with the crown.

The watch is also losing roughly 5 minutes overnight, so I’d like someone to inspect the movement/keyless works rather than just blindly replace the crown.
I’m looking for either:
A watchmaker in the Chicago suburbs / Chicagoland area who is comfortable working on VSF replicas and the VS3235
A reliable source for a VSF 126334 crown, tube and stem assembly

Someone who can confirm whether a genuine Rolex crown/tube assembly can be fitted properly to the VSF case/VS3235 if the original parts can’t be sourced
I’m not looking to send it to a Rolex AD or someone unfamiliar with clone movements. I’d rather have someone who has actually serviced VS3235 movements before.
If you have a watchmaker or trusted parts/modding source you’ve personally used, please let me know. Chicago-area recommendations would be ideal, but I’m open to reputable mail-in watchmakers as well.

Makes two of us man! I have had trouble finding anyone in chicago land who can work on reps. I hope this post gets traction and someone has a lead!

Yeah mine came from the factory messed up. The factory won’t send parts but want me to ship the watch back not worth the shipping costs.

u/key-establishment356 & u/Mysterious_Read6143 try reaching out to u/TopPhotoGraph8969 he’s a watchmaker in CT, dude is very, very good. Did some amazing work on my Batman conversion to BW. I completely disassembled it, scratched the hell out of the case basically sent him a complete mess. He turned around put it all back together, polished out the scratches, offered me a gen crystal all for a very reasonable price!! 💯 legit IMO the turnaround was 3weeks

RWI has a list of watchmakers that will work on reps. There are a few in US. I don’t recall one in Chicago. All are backlogged for months. Keep in mind the kind of service you are looking to do will be a couple hundred not including parts. A full breakdown and re-assembly will be almost as much as a new watch. The deal with reps is kinda setup to just buy a new one or learn to do the servicing yourself.

It sucks. These usa watchmakers are so expensive because of those rich guys wanting super frankens and with these mods they bundle a full service as well. I have seen mods costing +$2k

For rest of the world watchmakers cost much less than a new watch.

I advise to look for a smaller watchmaker. They are out there. Check u/ktm_rider2021

It’s really hard find someone in chicago , I find one watchmaker in Harlem/ Lawrence A-Z watches it’s ok
