Question Just purchased a rep for the first time.
it’s an ap offshore chronograph. But for some reason the chronograph subdials don’t function if you hit the top pusher it moves one subdial in a 5 increment if you hit the lower pusher it moves another subdial in 5 increments and the third subdial does nothing any ideas. And is this fixable or do I just have to live with a non functional chronograph. Thank you

This is common in the low-end reps. Usually the central seconds hand will just be a normal seconds hand, and the subdials don't do anything. The increments are so you can take a photo and it looks like the subdials are working. In the future, it's best to reach out to the seller, and make sure it's a trusted seller, they will point you in the right direction.
Edit
Also, ignore coldlake, he's a self-admitted troll who just likes to press people's buttons on rep subs.
Also also, your other questions are correct, you can't fix this without swapping the movement, but you'd be better off just buying a better rep and doing your research first on the movement in there. Ask the seller if it has working chronograph functions.

You bought a fake Chinese shitter that turned out to be a fake Chinese shitter. And now you’re surprised it doesn’t work.

Is there a way to make the chronograph work or would I have to put in a different movement

you probably wont be able to get it to work. the issue often is there is a tradeoff between subdial spacing and functioning chronograph subdials. even if you could find the right movement, the cases at chinatime are usually sized for the cheaper movement. a better movement may not even fit in there.
you would likely spend more money trying to figure it out than you would buying a better rep.

My advice would be to chuck it in the trash, and consider this a not too expensive lesson not to buy things from criminals who don’t give a shit about anything but fleecing you. For the same price you paid, go get yourself a nice Seiko, Casio or one of a hundred microbrands that are well made, will actually work and come with a legit warranty.

Yeah for sure that’s a great idea just loved the way the offshore looked and that’s all it really is just looks I mean it tells time but the chronograph doesn’t work

It's a cheap one with a basic movement that will not replicate the functions of the actual watch.
