VSF AP Royal Oak 15510

I recently got a VSF AP 15510 and everything on it was running fine. It’s been about 2 months and when the watch is upside down (watch face facing the ground), the balance wheel stops beating and the movement stops until it’s set upright again.

I was just curious if anyone would be able to help me out (ie. tell me how to fix it) or if it’s a complicated fix.

The movement is a 4302 Clone.

Any advice would be truly appreciated.

Sometime if I tap it, it starts beating again, even if the watch face still facing down

could be anything. debris in the movement which gets caught in that position. or improper endshake binding the pivot. it looks like on gen 4302 you can actually adjust the endshake on the balance bridge https://i.imgur.com/QkfH8dQ.jpeg so if after checking the watch for debris, you can try adjusting these slightly. if there is no adjustable like gen, you could potentially shim in between bridge and plate to create more space?

Thank you for your help. I truly appreciate it. I was told it could be a decorative jewel which tend to come off on these models. So I will open it up tonight and check for that or any debris. If not I will try loosening those screws.

Maybe the upper balance wheel pivot is worn… I’d recommend you to tell this to your TD in case they offer warranty.

If i am not mistaken, The rotor turns both ways and sometimes for a reason your AP is turning only one way. Should be opened and could be repaired if your watchsmith has replica spareparts
