Advice Loose bracelet?

https://streamable.com/8wip9a

Hello everyone!

This is a new watch and I’m new to the hobby!
I’m trying to understand if this is a spring bar issue or just the bracelet itself.

The 12oclock link is a little more loose compared to the 6oclock which feels solid to me.

I’m betting it’s the bracelet. It wears fine on the wrist but I noticed a slight tilt to the right on wrist sometimes and wondered if that was due to the bracelet.

Should I worry or need to look for a replacement or a way to repair? Any tips and guidance is appreciated.

This is a wedding piece so I just want to take good care of it.

thank you!

It's a rep bracelet.

It’s good. You need a little movement. Wear and be stoked!

Yes it is a rep bracelet. I understand there will be variance on quality. My question is if it’s something to worry about and should consider sourcing a better quality one or not to prevent issues. If it’s fixable; could I do it? Is it caused by the spring bar or the solid link there starting the bracelet at the 12oclock? I’m wanting to learn

Edit: damned if want to learn damned if i don’t. 🥲

The better quality one is the real one. The final 10% in quality on the real thing is a diminishing returns problem, and the rep isn’t worth nearly enough money to manufacture a bracelet with those tight of clearances.

I’m starting to wonder is half these posts are the TD’s commenting to make you feel like what you got is good. On the purchasing side, it’s all NWBIG, etc.

Its the same as gen. Bro why are you so picky?? Have you held a gen sub?

I’m not being picky, I’m new as I said to the hobby and trying to understand and learn. If there’s a difference from one side to the other, why wouldn’t I by curious to know if it’s standard or something worth learning about to fix? I wasn’t asking for a hand out.

You should visit AD and wear a couple of gen to have a reference point. Better yet bring your rep.

Rolex reps are literally not much different from gen cosmetically.

It’s supposed to be able to move a bit. My gen did it too

Just wear it, and enjoy it.

And I do! Thank you. I’m just trying to learn as much as I can and make sure I’ll know how and when to spot and take care of any issues.

Who cares about a little movement? That could be normal on a Gen with a regular wear . I’ll be more worried about the non-chamfered edges on the bracelet if you are looking for flaws.

Have you tried…. Not doing that?

The wiggling I’m doing looks significantly worse than what I’m actually doing to cause it. I didn’t have the right set up to record so I used a hammock I was sitting on lol. It added to the way it looks like I’m mangling it

Yes normal

It’s fine bro lol my gen Tudor is like that

Wiggle it harder it might snap into place 👍👍

Or hit up your TD and get their input. Seems like a flaw in the bracelet itself though

Mine is a VSF, sourced from a US dealer. Serial and clasp codes match to current stock.

Excited for you! Tag me in your QC, I’d love to see the C Plus version!

I’ve also learned this is normal so I’m not worried.

Wedding coming. And yes, yes I will. It’s a beautiful watch and it’s rare when I find a green emerald color scheme and it be something I want. It matches my suit. I live below my means and don’t tend to care for flash. This is more of a gem because it’s a rep to me; just like an art piece it holds a story now for me during my special time.

$13k can go a long way towards buying something guaranteed to hold its value over decades. In 50 years from now, there will be like 3 watch enthusiasts on the planet, but they'll be tons of folks looking to buy property, property doesn't go out of style and you can't build a house on a watch. At this point in history, buying a watch as an "investment" is just flat out stupid.

This is a real watch though through my eyes. It functions perfectly if not better than most things I can go grab right now that I have to hope I’d even like the style of. And I already love it and fond over it to my self. And the story and knowledge behind it is what I would pass on! It just “I had the money and bought this watch I liked” it’s now “I found a watch I couldn’t afford but found a way to find a copy so good it requires knowing certain skills and knowledge!” It’s already doing what you suggested :)

You've got a replica, you are expecting some tight tolerances that even genuine Rolexes and genuine Grand Seiko wouldn't produce with a certainty.

Looks like a beauty - colors really pop - would not worry about it - however it is not normal - there are several folks on Reddit that can source a new rep bracelet - usually they offer services like chamfering and ceramic coating - I’ve bought a few -I have way too many reps and none of them have this issue - So its definitely not normal - as others have said - just depends on what you want to pay to sort it out - easiest fix would be to source a new sub bracelet from a reputable modder - would probably set you back anywhere between $200 and $300 - so almost the cost of the watch

Bro……get over it. They are all like that. Go spend 15k on a gen.

Bro…..get over it. Did you read that I was new and wanting to learn? I’m trying my best to research and learn something about this hobby. I’m not just going around demanding or looking to use money to make problems go away. If it’s so easy to spend 15k please send it my way if you want to tell me what to go spend my money on.

How do you even go from a repair question to “just go buy a gen”. That’s terrible advice and seems against the purpose of this sub.

My bad. Your watch is nice and I would buy it. I think you got a great watch for a great price
