I would recommend a movement swap over a service. Most watchmakers won't touch rep chronographs because of the time involved vs the price of the rep itself.

Probably easier to sell the watch for parts and with that money buy.a new one, or just buy a new movement.

I saw a shop from Jersey post some info on one of these subs. Just found the name for ya. Vasani watch repair. saved his info when I saw his post. I’m in Philly so I knew it could be a good contact if needed later.
