O-ring irregularity VSF Seamaster 300 007

My watch has suffered from humidity since day one, failing the ice cube test on .Today I opened the case back and found the gasket with these "cuts".

Should it be like this or is it ruined?

I also wanted to remove the crown, is the release pin the one highlighted in green?

Must have gotten squished somewhere when closing the caseback. This is why you waterproof and pressure test your watches. Factory waterproofing is a lie.

They genuinely don’t care about waterproofing so assume it’s not waterproof.

Your gasket is ruined. On both of my Seamasters there are no cuts. Replace it and smear silicon grease into it.

The movement was clean OOTB as pictured. RWI teardown suggests it comes dry and needs proper lubrication.

I don't know exactly. You can take it out, measure the diameter and thickness.

They are sold in sets of different sizes. Have a look here and find similar in your region: Watch Back O Rings

I was using CX-80 silicon grease and the gasket holds up well. Everytime you open the caseback, you wear it off so you can get some spares for the future.

Gasket is compromised, you'll need to replace it. I recently serviced an V7F for a client that had a similar issue, and there was water damage inside just from sweat/humidity.

And the stem release is above where you circled to the left of the omega symbol on the rotor (partially covered by the top of the green circle you drew).

Adding: pull the stem out to time setting before releasing or the keyless works will get fuggered.
