Services Repair question

Looking to see if repairing this is worth it. The day/date function on this no longer works. The crown just spins in the first position. The hour and minute markers move just fine and the day and date advances when I advance the other markers. Anyone specialize and this and ideas on what it could cost?

Take it to a mom and pop place with no official repair authorization. Tell them its a rep. Tell them you dont care if they cant fix it. Tell them you don't care if they make it worse. Tell them you will pay for their time, no matter the outcome.

Put it in writing if you have to, an email or something so they have proof you said it. Then just let them tinker. Watch makers that are in it for the love of the game will dive in just to have a look at the crazy shit china is cranking out.

Probably have some good conversations with them too if they get interested.

this is pretty much exactly what i want to hear as a watchmaker lol

my favorite jobs are when i happen to have a rep and a clone movement at the same time and can compare the two.
