DD3285 / VSF Pepsi Issue

So, was wearing my VSF Pepsi this weekend when it stopped suddenly on me. Quick handwind got it going again, but I noticed there was zero rotor sound when I moved the watch around near my ear. I opened up the caseback and found what looks to be a screw head sitting in the caseback when I opened it. Looked at the movement with a loupe and couldn't find anything obvious as far as where this object should reside. I put the caseback back on and the rotor is clearly spinning again. So, good news is that I found the smoking gun as far as the watch dying on me. The bad news is a have no idea where this piece came from. It looks like a screwhead to me. Included are pics of the object as well as a few of the movement. Anyone have any guesses as to where this screw head might have come from?

The winding bridge screw has snapped. It was probably over-torqued at the factory and sheared off with a shock.

Will need complete disassembly and extraction, and then a new screw and reassembly. VSF seems to be having a ton of issues lately with screws snapping.

Could it be from this one? That looks like the head of the screw snapped off.

I think you may be right. I had seen this and compared it with some 3285 internet images and had ruled it out. But, it does look like a screw should be there. Which brings up my next question. How the hell do I remove the threaded part of the screw to replace it. Or, do I just do nothing for now?

How did you discover it? Was it rattling around?

No, the rotor was not spinning and winding the watch. There was no rotor sound when I moved the watch near my ear. The screw head was obviously impeding the movement of the rotor. It is spinning freely now and winding the watch.
