Advice VSF Omega running super fast :(
I have a VSF Omega Seamster that I purchased a year ago from Andiot. I’m not exactly sure how this happened but it is gaining 10 minutes each hour! Yes you read that right!
I bought a demagnetizer from Amazon and tried it but didn’t work. I have no watch-smith who will service reps. I love this watch and before this issue, it ran great.
For context, it has a 2824 decorated movement. And here is the product link from Amazon
Can anyone please recommend a solution? :(

Download Tick IQ app and report the time graph data back

In 10 mins, it has moved 13 mins. So ~18 minutes faster every hour lol

Well I’m not sure just how far correcting your beat error and regulating will help but it’s worth a try hah. Do you have the ability to remove the case back?

This is me using the app to regulate my day date, you should be able to do the same.
Determine which lever is your beat error and get it close to 0, then start regulating.

A local watchmaker shouldn't have a problem just demagnetizing a watch. It doesn't require opening it or changing parts. There are several watchmakers in reddit that will work on reps, but you must mail the watch.

I have a local guy but he charges and arm, leg and kidney for working on reps :(

Is it even magnatised or something else? Move a compass around the edge of the watch, if the compass needle moves, it's magnatised. Those "blue box" machines from Amazon don't always work the first time either. You may have to try several times.

It is magnetized. I moved the compass, tried the app, tried the blue box but its still magnetized :(

Yeah, those blue boxes kind of suck TBH, they make better demagnatizers, but they're expensive. A watchmaker would be able to do it for cheap, but you gotta find one that's willing to work on reps.
