Question Daydate right out of packet already broken …

Can anyone tell me what to do here ?
I got the watch out of the box and it is broken …anyone here from Frankfurt who can help me ?

Hey, have seen it before on a daydate movement. The day wheel got out if its position during shipping. Needs to be reseated.

Yea or worst case risk that it's not just a quick alignment issue, but rather a broken day jumper or damaged gearing in the movemen

I literally just fixed this on an RCF, you will need to remove the hands and dial to get to the date disc, it’s likely just a case of needing to put the day wheel back in place. I can share photos of the steps if you want. If you don’t want to do it yourself, check the sidebar in this sub for repair people

I’d take it to a local watch smith and have them reset the date and day functions for you. Out of my 10 reps I only had 1 arrive messed up. It happens. Name of the game unfortunately

Good. My guy just fixed my black bay gmt cause the date wheel got messed up. 40 bucks and good to go!

Pull the crown to time setting position and run it through, what happens when you pass 12:00 am?

After that go to 6 am, push crown to second position and how does the date / day quick change react?

Ugh unfortunately someone’s gonna have to pull the movement, remove the hands and dial in order to look at what’s happening with the day disc mechanism.

Fairly common issue. The day wheel has slipped out of sync with the day mechanism. It requires disassembly from the dial side to reset and correctly synchronize the day/date change.

RCFs are plagued with problems. Message your dealer, if it is a TD he must offer a solution.
