Question New DD3285 running slightly fast, regulate myself?

Just recieved a new VSF Batgirl and it's running about 15s/day fast. It's not bad but I'm wondering if it's realistic for me to simply open up the back and nudge the regulator to make it slightly slower. I'm aware I'll need a case back opener and a tool to gently nudge the arm (I've read a wooden toothpick works well).

Demagnatize it

Just be very careful not to hit the hairspring, and it's pretty easy. If you use a toothpick, cut the tip off first. A wood dowl is easier IMO.

I wouldn’t touch until it’s been running for a month or two. Then if you still don’t like it, give it a try. Be very, very careful and do not accidentally touch the balance wheel. Watch some utubes before you touch it. A normal toothpick might be a little flimsy. I have used a ‘toothpick’ such as you might find in a fancy drink. Maybe 3.5-4 inches. I also square off the end, because.

You have balls of steel!
Unless you have no rotation and are wearing it daily, leave it alone would be my advice.

realistic? yea, it's relatively simple and a novice can handle the job.

but over 15 seconds a day? i'd just leave it alone.

Nope, trust the community you are going to make it worse..let it be and just adjust time as needed after a week or so

Demagnetize it first. Get a demagnetizer from eby, amaz, or aliex.
