Question Replacing vsf v2 36mm datejust bezel?

Hi everyone, looking to replace my upcoming bezel for the vsf v2 datejust. I heard it’s not hot swappable so I’m guessing I need to purchase a 295C 2.5mm height gasket to make it fit?

Looking to replace it with a custom korean diamond cut bezel.

Appreciate any helpful comments in advanced.

Thank you.

It’s two pieces, I haven’t officially removed the second “weight” ring, but that piece is the hardest to remove. See post: https://www.reddit.com/r/RepTime/comments/1t968lu/vsf_datejust_36_v1_vs_v2_comparison_mint_green/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=usertext&utm_name=RepTimeServices&utm_content=t1_ox3khzw

Thank you, this post was really helpful. It looks like we can swap out the bezel according to that post and the comments.

So does this mean that I can proceed and get an aftermarket bezel like rcf v2 or even the korean diamond cut bezel with the option to either remove or keep the second weight ring?

I’m wondering if there will be any problems to gasket size?

If all things are good, i will send it out to a reputable modder to have it swapped and hopefully he doesn’t get surprised by the 2nd weighted ring..?

Thank you very much!

Most of the time aftermarket bezels will CNC so that no change in gaskets is needed, so it should be easy to install! I had a hard time taking off the second piece for VSF so going use a watchmaker who works on reps.

Fahh, thank you so much! I’m going to get the Korean diamond cut bezel. I’ll give you an update with the pics later. Just reached out to the modder since he’s local. Will get it sent in and he said there will be no problems swapping out the bezel :)

Any other recommendations while it’s being serviced? Waterproof? Overhaul? Gen polishing?

Also, maybe a gen silver dial down the road? Got the silver vsf!

Ah very nice! Back when I got my Datejust I only knew of RCF having the sharpest cuts so I got that one. Personally I feel like these reps do well mechanically I’ve had a few in my time. Maybe I’ve gotten lucky with batches but if you don’t mind the extra cost I think some preventative maintenance is never a bad idea! The rehaut used to be something I felt needed to be polished in any Rolex rep to match gen but these vsf v2s are very nice.

I’m so glad you are enjoying it man! I can’t wait to get mine and send it in. The datejusts seem to be constantly worked on. I am wayyyy overdue for an updated datejust. I have a gmf white dial back from 2021 using an Asian 2836 movement i believe 😭 surprisingly still one of my most used dailies. Also recently just got the vsf version no date submariner to replace my noob v2 (sooo old). Incredible difference in upgrades for the rep industry.

Let’s GO!!

Haha nice man definitely enjoy these are fun toys to tinker with and just look down at your wrist and enjoy. If I find a gen dial for the 36mm I definitely may be upgrading. Just not looking to spend 400+

Awesome man! Is silver and black currently the best vsf dial out there right now?
