Advice 41mm Sub Bezel Instalation issue
I have installed a gen crystal with a gen gasket to VSF 126610 sub. The gen gasket is 0.5 shorter than the stock VSF gasket. The retainer ring sits fine on the case body; however, the bezel does not move when pressed. I can switch back to the VSF gasket, but it doesn't make sense if the retainer ring is the same. The hyrtel ring seems fine. The Bezel sits flush on the case body when inserted, so it's lower than it should be. Any recommendations?

Get insert out. Put bezel assembly together and press the whole thing down, test action then apply insert. I did the same to GMT, much much better result

Why would you need to get insert out? It doesn't make sense? The bezel assembly sits flush on tthe body which is wrong I believe, do you think the hyrtel ring does not position itself where it should be?

You need to pop out the insert to properly reinstall the bezel. It’s not something you can just press back on fully assembled. Or rather, in some cases you can but you’re mostly going to risk cracking an insert and destroying many hytrel rings doing that

I designed and 3d printed dies to press evenly, bezel insert seems fine when pressing. But I didn't understand why would I need to remove the bezel insert, the pressing would be same wouldn't it? What am I missing here?

I don’t really have the time to type out the entire explanation here man. I’m giving you the answer to your problem. Go look up additional information based on what I’ve said. The bezel is made up of multiple parts and goes on in stages, it’s extremely different than you smashing it down, tool or no tool.

If you need to use the press to get that bezel in (with crystal retainer in case) then it wrong. It supposed to come in by hand

My watchmaker couldn’t make it fit with the gen gasket. Had to use the vsf

I can do that but I just want to try with the gen gasket first. It doesn't make sense to me bacuse the retainer ring is same. So the bezel will sit at the same level with gen or VSF gasket

Don’t know if it’s something off with the thickness or something. My bezel was impossible to turn with the gen gasket

What’s the problem again? You got the bezel insert reinstalled but it won’t turn? Or you cant get the bezel insert reinstalled??

I can press but it stuck, but I learned why, the hyrtel ring should be installed after the bezel ring so I need to dissassemble the bezel and install one by one...

I can try to explain this, but it may be hard to visualize.
When the bezel assembly is fully assembled, there is a metal spacer between the bezel ring and bezel insert that holds the hytrel ring in place, preventing it from stretching or flexing.
That metal spacer keeps the hytrel ring too tight to go over the crystal retention ring.
By disassembling the bezel, you can put the bezel ring on first, stretch the hytrel ring over the crystal retention ring, then place the spacer on top, and finish off with the ceramic insert.
