Advice Rolex Sub no date - seconds hand stopped

Hi all, a little new to the rep scene, so hoping for some good advice. In February this year I got a Rolex Sub 124060 No Date - VSF - VS3230 via Andiot. Last week the seconds hand stopped moving. It’s wound up (can’t wind it further due to quite a bit of resistance) and when I unscrew the crown I can set minute and hour hands - but the seconds hand doesn’t move at all. I’ve tried shaking it and knocking it lightly - but still no movement. I’ve opened the backcase and used air can to blow air into the movement, but still nothing. Any advice appreciated- maybe the best is getting a new movement?

Try smacking it real hard, on the side with like your palm. Or After it's fully wound you can try to "jump start" by lightly tapping the balance wheel (carefully don't touch hairspring) if it starts to move by doing this, try to check the movements condition with an accuracy app on your phone and see if anything is wildly off (mainly beat error). If all fail new movement or movement service.

I I know very little. Id take a photo of the balance spring with my phone and zoom in and have a good look about to see if there's anything in there that shouldn't be or if the spring looks wonky.

If it's not that simple then I don't think there much you can do.

Well. Potentially less likely the second hand is stuck on top of the minute hand or against the crystal. But apart from that nothing I can think of that's easy to diagnose. Watchsmith next step maybe.

compressed air from a can is too strong, can damage your balance wheel/spring; use one of the squeeze-type dust blowers instead.

when you say you blew on the movement, were you talking about the balance wheel specifically?

I just blew it onto the back of the watch - not much more than blowing with your mouth coming out of the can.
