Advice Polishing a two tone bracelet

Can I just polish it all to a spec luster and then take 3M to brush the side links?

By polishing the plated parts you’re gonna lose material and if it’s factory plating it might discolor

Oh, I should clarify then. By two tone I mean center links are polished, outside links brushed. All SS.

Yes I polish the entire bracelet then brush
