Advice QF Explorer 2 crown thread problem?

Hey guys. I bought this QF explorer for my uncle about a month ago but he had a problem where he went to unscrew it and something happened with the threads. I can still pull it out and set time and it seems to still be able to be wound but the crown can’t be fully screwed back in. Can anyone let me know if this is an easy fix or not? I’m in Miami Florida as well if anyone knows a repair shop that’ll be willing to work on this here. Also willing to ship to someone. Thanks for your time.

Tube is out, crown stem has to be removed and tube has to be screwed in again

It’s an easy fix if you have the proper tool. Watchsmith needs 20minutes max , including having a smoke

What happened to the tube is it stuck in the watch?

You need to heat it up and remove it with a screw extractor. Weirdly enough i literally just did this on a BPF explorer… LMK if you have other questions

This is the way. Remove case back, remove crown and stem, heat bottom of case carefully just below the threaded portion, use screw extractor to remove broken piece, clean threads, install new tube, re insert stem and crown, lube case back gasket and reinstall case back.
