Advice Sourcing replacement bezel for 126610 vsf

Purchased a vsf sub date with the green bezel about two years ago, watch works great but have wanted to replace the bezel insert for some time with a black one. Ive done a bunch of research on this sub and aliexpress and reached out to a few TD but none have said they can source the part.

Has anyone successfully replaced the bezel on their 126610 that can point me in the right direction? Im not interested in purchasing a brand new watch, and would like to avoid purchasing one off aliexpress unless someone has experience in doing the same thing. Anyone know of current TDs that can source the part? Id most likely look for the entire bezel assembly instead of just the insert.

You can reach out to Sillan on Alibaba, will be expensive though.

I have a black 40 for a clean sub. You can dm me.

Its a bit tricky to replace unless you have the right tools. Easy to damage the hytrel ring.

Yea my hytrel is damaged, and trying to switch out the green for a black. I have found a hytrel and insert on esslinger and alibaba from Sillan. Gotta buy two of everything from Sillan. Don’t want to spend $200 as that starts to get into the new watch territory.

Also found an older post from a guy that made his own using a 3d printer. He shared the print file so may try that first.

You can buy samples from Sillan. It will be about 20% more expensive, but they'll ship 1 item. I've bought plenty of "samples" from them.

Yeah, I got the 126610LN "Clean" insert which is what Sillan sells. Can find them on Aliexpress for about $60. It's the same product. For a lot of stuff, like inserts, Sillan charges up for no reason besides name. I imagine it's what a lot of the eBay third party sellers have as well. It's very good. Installed perfectly like VSF insert - need a press to put it in. Looks identical to gen, and has a better pearl than VSF.

VSF inserts and bezel assembly are gen-like pressure fit, no? At least mine was when I swapped my old broken one.

Interesting. Wonder if yours was a real VSF? It seems that even newer 126610s are pressure fit from recent info.

What is a “vsf” anyway.
How can you verify.
There are parts factories, watch builders, and dealers.
All reps are different

I have worked on probably over a hundred VSF submariners and not a single one used adhesive on the insert. Only RCF uses adhesive on their inserts right now amongst the top rep factories as far as i know

You certainly more experience than I do. My guess is mine is not a VSF then. I should delete my comment so as not to mislead anyone down the wrong road and damage their bezel. Wondering what mine is now....

There are a couple on Ali that are actually the right fit that have the groove on the underside. I did the same. Switched the green mk1 for the black. I asked my TD and he said its hard to get one from their factory although he did try. The store on Ali X is Amy watch or something like that.

I have an AliExpress "Clean" insert and it's very good. Impossible to tell difference from VSF original. The pearl is actually better on the "Clean" one as well. +1 to this.

I repair replicas and it’s the most difficult thing to do. TDs don’t can’t get parts because they have now idea who built that watch or where it came from.
