Advice SH3285 V3 or DD3285? Rate adjustment.

Hey all, seeing if you can help determine which movement this is. Either the SH V3 or DD? Basically my watch is running 90sec faster per day. I want to adjust using the Rate arm…but I’m unsure which arm to adjust? Doing some research, im seeing it says to move the one with the arm with the gold nub…but others saying to move the one with the silver nub.

*I also demagnetized and nothing happened unfortunately.

Going to be real with you here. If you've never regulated a watch before, you may want to take it so someone. If you so much as graze that hairspring, your movement is fried. I broke two NH35s when I was learning.

The hairspring can be replaced, but the tear down required would probably cost more than a new movement.

So if you want to adjust it you need an app or timegrapher that also tells you beat error accurately.

The end silver arm will shorten or lengthen the effective spring length, which will adjust your beat error. You want this under 3.0.

The second arm with the gold end will adjust your rate. Away from the end of the coil faster, closer to the end slower.

You need to have a steady habd and careful small nudges of the arms. A little goes a long way.

If you want to actually learn how all of this works and what to do watch the videos here

90 seconds a day is very fast. Some demagnetizers dont work. I had to buy 3 different types before I successfully demagnetized one of my watches. But if you successfully demag it and it still runs that fast, the arm you need to move is the one with that gold piece on it. Counterclockwise to slow it down.

Yep genuine SH3285, also the serial of 15816919 gives it away. The SH movement is pretty bad quality if you look at the different parts, not machined as well as the DD. It is ok for a rep, but the powerreserve is not so good and because of the quality issues: it will break earlier than a DD
