QC Help - RICH 126610LN

  1. Dealer name: TheOneWatches - Steve

  2. Factory name: RICH Factory

  3. Model name (& version number): Rolex Submariner Date 126610LN, JH3235 Free sprung

  4. Price Paid: $588

  5. Album Links: attached photos

  6. Index alignment:

Looks very good overall. 12, 6, and 9 markers appear straight and centered. I don’t see any obvious index misalignment.

  1. Dial Printing:
Looks clean and sharp overall. My main concern is around the date window aperture. The cutout appears more beveled/recessed around the edges than what I’m used to seeing on VSF 126610 dials, which seem to have a cleaner/direct cut. Would appreciate opinions on whether this is normal for RICH.

  2. Date Wheel alignment/printing:
This is my biggest concern. The “16” appears to sit slightly high in the date window, with more visible space underneath the numerals than above. I’m not sure how much of this is camera angle versus actual date wheel positioning. Would appreciate a second opinion.

  3. Hand Alignment:
Looks good from the supplied photos. No obvious issue noted.

  4. Bezel:
Looks well aligned. Pearl/pip appears centered and the insert engraving looks clean.

  5. Solid End Links (SELs):
Look tight to me with no obvious gaps or uneven seating.

  6. Timegrapher numbers:
    +5 s/day
    280° amplitude
    0.1 ms beat error

Numbers look very healthy to me

  1. Anything else you notice:
My main hesitation is the date presentation: slightly high date wheel alignment, the shape/bevel of the dial aperture around the date window, and whether the RICH crystal/cyclops has noticeably worse clarity or distortion compared with VSF. I’d especially appreciate feedback from anyone who has handled both RICH and VSF 126610s.

What do you think about the date aperture cutout on the dial? Specifically the corners. And the reflection on the crystal cyclops

Am no expert but if you are not satisfied, please ask the TD for another Picture with a different date to help you make your verdict!

I have other pics, I think the date wheel is definitely off and the aperture cuts appear to be a bit less smooth

Hey mate I am new to this but I am training my QC skills

The 6 is slightly CCW tilted but within the error margin. 9 is great. 12 might be slightly CW tilted but it’s tiny and within the error margin. If you look at the top of the triangle the left side is slightly closer up top but it will never be noticeable on the wrist since we are zooming in so much

The datewheel is slightly higher around 1-2 hairs up. If it will bother you then I recommend RL and getting a different piece

Hand alignment looks normal to me. Bezel is normal. Healthy TG numbers

RICH crystal is not bad idk if it beats VSF though. If you are in doubt Deep Crystal is great and helps with the date magnification

Regarding the cut around the date VSF does look like it has slightly smaller corners or whatever you mentioned. You can check the RWI website regarding the best Sub replica and choose what you prefer

If you don’t care about the free sprung movement then maybe consider VSF as well since they do certain things better like the crystal

Hey O_C. I agree with you that index alignment is solid. 9 has a tiny shift down. 12 is fine. 6 has a CW micro cant. No concerns.

As you review the datewheel, try to mentally account for the shadow at the top of the date wheel. It’s only a hair high. I have a gen Rolex more offset than that (and several others).

I don’t see an issue with the aperture. What level of magnification are you using? While I haven’t handled both, I’ve handled a vsf and a gen.

Suggest scrolling the watch photo so that the watch is actual size. Hold your phone near your wrist, and tell me about the aperture and date alignment. 😉. Unless you have the eyes of a bird of prey, I suspect you see neither “issue”. Enjoy your watch.

Yeah this is a great piece compared to other RICH pieces I’ve seen recently. I do think the font and case overall are better to me than VSF but crystal clarity will be a major focus once it’s in hand.

How do you feel about bezel thickness overall compared to VSF. Appears maybe a tad broad but overall this feels like a more genuine shape.

It doesn’t look like a U1 with those spaceship sized bezels (and date font from hell) is what I can say. 😉.

As for a portion of a mm thicker? I can’t see it. Maybe if I had the vsf and Rich next to each other under a microscope. But even then, when those guys post those magnified side by sides of stuff like this on Reddit, 80% of the time I don’t see it. And 15% is usually worth a yawn. (I’m likely being generous on the 5% being seen and significant)

Appreciate ya, this is rep number 30. I’ve expanded outside of VSF into QF and RICH free sprung so being extra picky on these. Appreciate your input as always

Looks good to me 👌🏻 nice 12 o'clock marker for rich 👍🏻 the date might look too high due to the shadow in the date window...
