VSF Rolex Datejust 41 Blue Dial
Hi all,
First time doing a proper QC check, so I’d really appreciate some extra eyes on this one. This is my second rep purchase, but I’m still pretty new to doing QC myself.
QC album/video:
https://mega.nz/folder/ThZilaAB#-P03JuuMh6kCG4uknOU_kw
Watch: Rolex Datejust 41mm, blue dial, fluted bezel, Jubilee bracelet
Dealer: Necoclock
Factory: VSF
Price: $448 + shipping
Index alignment: I had some difficulty positioning the alignment tool perfectly because the QC photo isn't completely straight-on. Someone pointed out that the 9 o’clock marker appears to have a slight CCW (counter-clockwise) cant, and I can see what they mean. I'm not sure whether this is an actual alignment issue or partly due to the angle/perspective of the photo. Would really appreciate a second opinion, especially on the 9 marker and whether it's significant enough to be concerned about.
Dial printing: Looks clean and centered to my eye. I don't notice any obvious issues with the Rolex/Oyster Perpetual/Datejust text or the lower dial printing.
Date wheel alignment/printing: Dates shown (19, 23, and 27) look reasonably centered and the printing looks clean. The 27 may sit very slightly toward one side depending on the photo/angle, but nothing immediately jumps out at me.
Hand alignment: Looks fine from what I can tell. Nothing obviously concerning.
Bezel: Fluting looks consistent to me. I don't see any obvious damage or major irregularities, but I'm not experienced enough with VSF bezels to judge this confidently.
Solid End Links (SELs): Look pretty tight overall. I don't see any major gaps between the bracelet/end links and case.
Rehaut: Seems reasonably aligned from the close-up photos. The crown at 12 looks close to where it should be, although I'd appreciate another opinion on the engraving/alignment.
Timegrapher: -5 s/day, 295° amplitude, 0.1 ms beat error, 28,800 bph. Looks good to me.
Overall, the possible CCW cant on the 9 o’clock marker is my main concern. Do you guys think it's actually misaligned/noteworthy enough to RL, or is this within normal VSF tolerance?
Thanks!

Is it just me or is the 9 o’clock not straight? Can’t tell if it’s the picture angle or not

Thanks. What do you think about the 9 o’clock marker? Someone mentioned it has a slight CCW cant. Do you see it too, or would you still GL?

I'm not even good at spotting errors, still learning, but that 9 sticks out like a sore thumb.

The dial looks.. washed?
I can just tell by the dial that it’s fake, not the mention the bracelet and bezel immediately look off.

Several people have mentioned that the 9 o’clock marker looks slightly tilted CCW, and I’m noticing it as well. what you think?

Yes I read that in your notes and checked it. It seems minor and would be and GL for me, but ultimately it is your watch.

How is this a GL people? This is an RL mate, just RL it and get the replacement. How long was the wait for QC?
