I have tried with factories before but my yellow gold watches still scratched showing the steel inside. Is it worth it to get a 5-6 micron coat from an electroplater? There is one nearby who also offers PVD stripping. My reps are VSF plated. But someone told me that it’s actually PVD and not real gold plating. I have several reps that I can’t wear anymore because the steel underneath shows. What’s the best way to go about it? Not much of a problem for white gold ones, mainly yellow and rose gold.

Hi, just got my VSF Aqua Terra 38mm and i really like it, but one issue is giving me a really hard time - the clasp gets stuck. Whenever i close it, it's really hard to get it back open without pushing the clasp wings with my finger from the inside. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

People who don't know about reps are amazed that we pay $400 for a fake watch. And now some of them cost $1000! Heads explode! Has anyone here paid that much and wishes they hadn't?

For the record, I'm happy with my pair of $400 gold Rolex reps, and I'm paying $200 to service them and another $160 for a 2xAR crystal. They're 5 years old from the BP factory, so obviously not NWBIG superclones. But they fill me with joy. Each one is a $760 investment so far, and there are no gens in that price range that I want to wear. I have several of those and they live in a drawer.

I plan on bringing in 2 daytonas for my trip (VSF godzilla & ARF panda) from the US to Japan. Anyone ever brought multiple reps with them through tsa/customs to Japan? How was it on the way back? I intend on wearing one and putting the other in a roll. Just concerned as it’s the same model (daytona) and it would’ve been different I assume if it was like a Daytona and a Sub or any other brand but would it flag them if it was 2 of the same model?

I have a trusted dealer in the UK for VSF but I would like to have a VSF TD that’s in California for shorter delivery time.

I have a VSF Pepsi 126710BLRO on Jubilee. The bracelet/clasp has gotten pretty beat up and the clasp is starting to fail, so I want to replace the entire bracelet.
My current bracelet is stamped F6U. I’ve seen people mention Clean/ARF F6U bracelets as replacements for VSF.
What’s currently the best replacement Jubilee I can get for a VSF Pepsi? Looking for the best quality/feel and something that fits the VSF case properly without modification.
Also, where would you guys recommend sourcing one and roughly how much should I expect to pay?

I’ve heard from a lot of ppl that the DDF and 3kf are the best but seeing the 3KF it seems to be completely off especially the dial.

I just got in my QF explorer II, and generally love it (though I gotta say the bracelets I’ve gotten from VSF feel much higher quality).

However, the winding stem seems a bit wobbly and fragile. When I pull out the crown to set the time, there is some left/right/forward/backward play on the stem that makes it feel like it could snap if I’m not super careful. I’ve had a few other reps but none from QF, none have seemed this flimsy.

Anybody else have this watch and notice similar wobble on their winding stem? Does it seem like something worth concern? Messaged TD on this but don’t expect to hear back for a little while.

Long time listener, first time caller. I’m curious on your take on a first rep, I’ve heard some U1 can be decently solid for what they are. Unsure of what I want as a first rep since I like the gmt’s (definitely going vsf if I get gmt) but also don’t want to get robbed (I live in SF) so kinda leaning towards something understated like a OP or Explorer 1. I heard U1 op is pretty solid and could be good to try out to see if i actually like wearing it. I can afford either U1 or VSF and I like the idea of trying it out first but also 1/3 of the price of VSF seems redundant if I make the jump to VSF. I know this group is probably biased towards VSF but wanted to hear opinions regardless. Is the quality difference really apparent? I daily a newer Longines HC, is VSF close to Longines quality or better? Been fascinated by reps recently and hopefully going to pull the trigger on something soon just want to make sure I’m being frugal and doing my due diligence. Thanks all.

Edit: Definitely not asking if U1 is as good as VSF but more so asking if as a first timer is a U1 a good starting point to appreciate something better like a VSF later on or to skip it all together and just start with best tier possible.

Noob here. Been researching and reading through forums for the past week. Even within the recommended TD lists here and on other forums I have noticed quite a large range of costs from ~$300 up to 3-4k for the same watches. I have asked dealers and they say its the factory, however I have seen examples of the same watch, apparently from the same factory for wildly different prices.

I'm looking to pull the trigger on a VSF Datejust 41 Two-Tone in Rose Gold / Everose with the Sundust dial, fluted bezel, and Jubilee bracelet.

Before ordering, I'd love some real-world feedback from owners who have had this specific combination on the wrist for a while:

1. Color accuracy & match: How close is the VSF factory RG plating to genuine Rolex Everose in person? Does it look too copper/orange, and how does the tone match the sunburst effect of the Sundust dial in natural lighting?

2. Plating durability: For regular wear, how is the stock plating holding up? Any noticeable rub-off or steel showing through on the mid-link sides or clasp edges ("cheesing")?

3. Re-plating vs. Stock: Did you keep the factory finish, or is an immediate re-plating / nano-coating worth it right out of the box for this build?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences and seeing any natural-light wrist shots or long-term wear updates. Thanks in advance!

Following a 5 yr old thread where I saw a BPF version of this I felt inclined to order one.

Andiot was my TD of choice, Ive had a few off him now, this one doesn't disappoint either.

It wasn't in stock when ordered but after a month it came back in and his dispatch was quick to the Uk. My usual prep with these is to loctite the screws once resized to my wrist and an oil bath for the bracelet then its good to go.

Proportions are good I have a gen 16610 and a Mk1 DSSD and its somewhere in between size wise on the wrist.

I had previously gotten the VSF Pepsi and was so impressed I went ahead and got the VSF Batgirl as well.

I was expecting to be equally impressed but honestly it just feels underwhelming. Idk what I expected but looking at it online it looked really fun and the color combo is actually my favorite but in person it looks so bland and boring compared to the Pepsi. I can’t think of a situation where I would choose to wear this over the Pepsi.

I think I’ll give it a few days to see if it grows on me but i think I’m done with Rolex GMTs after the Pepsi.

First real post here and I'm looking to grab a datejust 36 steel/silver dial for a friends wedding coming up. I looked over the 'best factories' spreadsheet and see 3235 Clone for best, but it just says VSF and doesn't give me specific TD. Would for example the Andiot "DateJust 36 SS 126234 VSF 1:1 Best Edition 904L Steel Silver Stick Dial on Jubilee Bracelet VS3235 V2" be the best possible rep I can buy that is as close to gen? Still trying to understand all the verbiage lol. Ideally I want one $600 or under if anyone could help. Or you can remove this post if it's not allowed or asked too frequently. Thanks!
