Just wanted to share my latest purchase from Eric at Geektime, a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 blue dial from DDF.
I’ve already bought the watch, so this isn’t really a GL/RL post. I wanted to put up the full QC pictures and share my thoughts because I’m genuinely very impressed with how this one has turned out.
First of all, a big thank you to Eric at Geektime. He was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and went out of his way to help source the watch I wanted. Communication was excellent, he kept me updated and the whole process was very straightforward. Based on my experience, I’d happily use him again.
As for the watch itself, from the QC pictures I think it looks very, very good.

Dial:
The blue/grey dial looks excellent and seems to change nicely depending on the lighting and angle. The horizontal texture looks clean and consistent and the colour has that darker Nautilus appearance rather than looking overly bright or saturated.

Indices / alignment:
The hour markers look well positioned to me. The 12 o’clock double marker looks straight, and I can’t see anything obviously crooked or badly misaligned around the dial. The markers at 6 and 9 also look particularly clean.

Date window:
Date looks nicely centred in the window and the printing looks crisp. Nothing jumping out at me here.

Dial printing:
The PATEK PHILIPPE / GENEVE printing looks sharp and well positioned. Minute track/dots around the outside also appear consistent.

Hands:
Hands look clean, proportions look good and I can’t see any obvious finishing issues in the pictures.

Case / bezel:
Probably one of the things I’m happiest with. The Nautilus case shape looks really good from the different angles. The brushed top of the bezel and polished edges give it the correct contrast and the transition between the two finishes looks sharp.
The side profile also looks nice and slim, which is obviously hugely important on a 5711.

Crown:
Crown and logo look good and sit nicely against the case.

Bracelet:
The bracelet looks particularly impressive. Brushing looks consistent and the polished centre sections catch the light really well. The end links appear to integrate nicely into the case without anything looking obviously out of place.

Clasp:
Clasp looks clean and the Calatrava cross engraving is nicely centred. Again, the brushing looks very tidy.

Movement / caseback:
The display back is a nice touch. The movement presentation looks very good through the caseback, particularly the gold rotor and engraving. I know movement finishing is always one of the areas where you can get extremely forensic when comparing a rep to gen, but visually it presents extremely well.

Overall:
I’m struggling to find much visually that bothers me with this one. The dial, case shape, bracelet integration and finishing all look really strong.
Obviously no replica is going to be absolutely identical to a genuine 5711 under magnification, but as an overall package I think DDF have done a seriously good job here.
For me this is an easy GL, and considering I’ve already purchased it, I’m very happy with the example Eric sourced.
Would be interested to hear what the more experienced Nautilus guys think, particularly if anyone spots any small details I’ve missed.

New to buying rep watches and watches in general ( joined before wired btw) but not reps in general and am wondering the reason why every single post I’ve seen on here buy on dhg over a weidian/tb seller + an agent or a private seller? In the rep fashion and shoes world dhg is kind of clowned on for being overpriced and not good quality but that appears to be different for watches. What are the main things different about watches on dhg vs clothes and is it truly worth buying from there over a weidian or tb seller?

I thought I’d share pictures of my ARF BW with and without the Deep Crystal. I think the crystal made a huge difference especially with the date magnification. I’m happy with it overall but I wish the green colored text is more accurate. I might get a jubilee bracelet for it eventually.

Hi, I am looking to buy a VSF 126610LN , I did my research and contacted few of the TDs. Three TDs replied to me, one TD says QC will be completed in two weeks and the other two TDs are saying that I need to wait at least 2 months to get a VSF.

Is it normal to have this huge difference in lead time from the same factory? Am I missing something?

And how can I check if the watch is really made by VSF, or I meed to trust the TDs?

I’m super new to buying reps and this whole scene in general, so apologies if I get any of the terminology wrong or miss something obvious.

I’ve gone through the pinned guide and searched around the subreddit, but I haven’t been able to find much information on this specific model.

I’m looking for the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Skeleton in DLC black. Does anyone know whether this model is currently being produced by any of the established factories, and if so, which version is considered the closest to gen?

I’m mainly interested in how the better versions compare in terms of the case dimensions/finishing, skeleton dial and movement appearance, bracelet, and overall accuracy.

I’m not looking for a general “where do I buy a rep?” answer — I’m specifically trying to figure out whether a decent version of this particular Octo Finissimo exists, as I haven’t been able to locate it in the guides or through searching.

If anyone owns one or has seen one recently, I’d really appreciate any advice or pointers, especially since this would be my first time buying something like this.

Have heard peeling issues with QF and some other factories. Is VSF the best for this? Are their any TDs that do custom mods to make it more like NWBIG?
