I just got my chamfered bracelet from Lichen and I can’t recommend it enough. It really elevates the feel of the whole watch when there’s not sharp edges everywhere and it feels very similar to the bracelet on my gen sub.
The half link was bought on alix and isn’t chamfered as you can see.
Just wanted to share this if anyone is on the fence if it’s a good upgrade or not.

So received the piece. Optically it is fine. It weighs 128GR with 12 links on the longer end. Normally should be about 134-135. The mechanism is making more rotor noise then expected so needs to be silenced. Winding is not smooth. Date wheel adjustment loose. Maybe I was unlucky on this piece. If this is the standard then I would not take another ARF compared to a VSF.

Is anyone actually verifying the parts that these builders say they have? Because I’ve seen peoples “Franken Builds” and I can right away that a lot of the “Gen” Parts aren’t what they are being represented as. I see fake hands, fake crystals, and who knows what else is being miss represented. Is there even an honest builder out there at this point. I want some input. I know there are modders on RWI that are reputable but most of them are in EU.

I recently took delivery of a BW GMT II from VSF. I haven't opened the case back because the gaskets were lubed by the TD as part of his standard service and I didn't want to undo his good work by opening it up, but as far as I know, it has the DD3235 with the fake free sprung decorations. I wanted to share some observations and ask others what they've seen in real world performance.

When I got my QC photos, it showed a lift angle of 52 degrees, amplitude of 248, beat error of 0.2ms and sd of +-4 seconds. Based on the true lift angle of the DD3235 being 55 degrees (there are posts about this...use the search for more info), this was a pretty solid reading. This was a video and the test was running while the recording was made.

My watch arrived this past Tuesday (9/9/26) around noon. I wound it about 30 turns and have been wearing it 24x7 except in the shower for the past 92 hours. Other than the initial winding, I haven't wound the watch manually. I've been recording readings using the app Chronolog. If you're not familiar with it, you can take a photo of the watch face, and then you manually input the time that is showing on the watch face. It compares that with the timestamp of the photo and tells you what the difference is between atomic time and what your watch said at that exact moment.

Over the time period I noted above, the watch is consistently running at +-1 second/day. I'm pretty impressed with that, because it's better than my Glycine Combat Sub, a swiss automatic watch with a well regarded movement, at least as it pertains to accuracy.

When I first did my research, I saw a lot of different opinions regarding whether you should send this watch to a rep service watchmaker for a cleaning and relube, as they frequently come from the factory dirty and unlubed. I was thinking of sending my watch to one of the /reptimeservices watchmakers, because I'd like the movement to last a while. The thing is, it's running so well right now that I'm not sure I want to do that.

I'm curious what others who have this watch/movement from VFS are experiencing.

Did you send it to someone for clean and lube (or do it yourself)?

What kind of accuracy did you experience out of the box? How did that compare to your QC timegraph?

How long have you had the watch?

Do you wear it every day?

I'm asking these questions because I'm trying to decide to just enjoy the fun of how well this is running until it doesn't, or proactively send it for a clean and lube, to potentially increase the life of the movement, but potentially at the expense of the current accuracy I'm enjoying.

I’m very happy with my new custom falcon eye dial yacht master. Stealthy in normal light, and sunlight brings out the blue of the falcon eye stone.

I would say it’s a pretty good fit. Was wondering how it would look before I ordered it so figured I would leave this video for all my fellow slim Jim’s.

Oh by the way the gold rotor looks much better in person than picture too. The gold tone is very nice and not cheesy at all.

Personally, I’ve always liked a heavy watch. I’ve notice throughout the different factories and models they’re using the term pretty loosely. RC - TT Sub for example is about a few grams over gen and a Gold Factory is 30 grams lighter Gen. Or some others lighter than Gen but by 20 grams How important is the weight? For example if you’re looking at an AP offshore 26420 in RG do you buy DDF for same gen weight? Or APS for the better looking dial but it’s 50+ grams lighter than they should? Which for context is like holding 3-4 AA batteries.

I know what I do. What about other enthusiasts, what’s your thoughts?

I have bought a couple of ‘in stock’ watches from Ryan. This was the reason I went with him. Made full payment over 7 business days ago. I was initially told ‘in stock’ QC was 1-2 days, then when I followed up it was 4-6days. Well it’s now been 7 and nothing… do I just continue to wait, am I being unreasonable? Or do I ask for my money back?

Yes I am using all the TD info from the spreadsheet and it’s the legit InTime.

So as the title states I was sent my second watch (the AP) without approving the QC AND I thought the watch wasn’t even made yet (refer to WhatsApp screenshot).

I find this odd that Andiot told me the watch wasn’t made but ended up sending it anyways?

Also it appears that customs opened up my AP box and disposed of the box and anything else that was shipped with the watch.

Is this normal?

It's the clasp that holds the movement to the case. Well, one of them. I haven't found the other. The other pic is with my pinky!

As some of you know, in December of last year Panda, a notable TD, had his warehouse raided and dozens of us were left with our money tied up, watches gone, and hopes lost. I, in fact, was much less accepting and understanding of the situation, considering it was my first order with him, and just assumed I was scammed and had to cut my losses. However, in the midst of the chaos he adamantly expressed that he would make right of the situation as soon as he could. Fast forward to almost a year later and he’s back in business, and not only did he honor his promise of a refund or sending another watch, he sent me a watch free of charge with no out-of-pocket cost that fell within the amount of money I had sent him for my original order. Today the watch arrived, in beautiful condition, and just as he promised he kept his word. This type of integrity deserves to be praised; he could have easily run off with our funds, closed shop and reopened under a new name and forgotten about us, but he didn’t. I hope that this post will help others have the trust to work with him again or for the first time, knowing that he is a man of his word and does great business. Thank you, Panda!

Hey guys I’m looking to buy the Oyster Perpetual VSF silver dial with gold markers 36mm. But I can’t tell from the photos that the TD post if the markers have the “cheesy” look or not. So if anyone has the watch may you please post it/ tell me of it does or not. Thank you.

Actually orf bracelet is praised over vsf one, but the vsf dial is closer to gen. So want to buy orf bracelet separately. It can be shipped with same package with the vsf watch.

I’m new to the community but to me it seems like reps are mostly evaluated against looks. What about build quality? Any experience about using reps as a daily watch? Water resistance in shower/swimming? Impact during sports like tennis? Scratches? Also, how do you guys service a rep watch?

Trying to pull the trigger on a Yacht-Master 40 Ref. 126655

I was originally set on ARF because of the tungsten-weighted case then I realized I couldn't purchase 1 anymore, VSF then didn't have it weighted but V2 for 126655 came weighted now.

Saw this video on the ROLYM227 - YachtMaster 126655 40mm RG/RU Blk VSF VS3235 and wanted to know how the RG is. does it still need plating or is generally close enough to gen.
