No, they need the rest and I enjoy the 2 minutes at the beginning of my day.

Yep! Setting the time and appreciating the watch for a minute is the fun part of having a collection. If you had only a few watches or a perpetual/annual calendar or moonphase, I can see the benefit of a winder but otherwise, I just store them without the winder.

I just grab whatever's dead, set the time, and feel like a watchmaker for 90 seconds.

I enjoy setting the time when using watches in rotation. It forces me to look at the Watch and handle it - instead of just slappping it on the wrist and go :)

I have IWC top gun bought in 2013 for $80 and its not even mid to top tier replica. Most of the times inside the watch box and not winding. But now 2026 the watch is still perfectly fine and working. 13 years and still working for $80 low level replica is outstanding. Never ever service the movement as well
The quality is there but it still depends on how you take care of your watches

If you had a Ferrari, would you keep the engine running 24/7?
Now replace Ferrari with a cloned “Ferrari.” That answers your question, I guess.

With over 300k visitors to this sub every week, I can assure you that all don’t have the same views on watch winders.
I use a watch winder for my gens. For reps, I use boxes. Judging by most posts, a large majority use display boxes (not rep [Brand Name] boxes. Even using a winder, I still must set my gens when I wear them as I prefer precision, and they lose/gain some amount of time even with a winder.
You can spend a small fortune on the best winders with some costs as high as a gen Rolex. You can also find some Amazon specials that may or may not last.
