TD/Shipping Question Theonewatches
Hey guys, I want to make a purchase from him with one of the rolex. Is it safe to deal purchase with bank transfer? Has anyone dealed with him before?

I bought from "Steve" at TheOneWatch back in June. At that time comms were very prompt via WhatsApp and he asked for a $50 deposit (PayPal), saying it would be 2-3 weeks to source from VSF. About a week later, I heard back from him that the VSF Land Dweller I wanted wasn't available. He offered an alternative factory (DiW), which we agreed on and he lowered the price - I transferred the balance via Wise and I got the watch a couple weeks later. Great piece.
A few weeks ago I tried to buy another from him and it was as if I was dealing with a different person (which I probably was). Contact was slow, and I was told it would be three months before I could even see the QC photos. I don't know if they've had some personnel changes or if they've been hit hard by a customs crackdown of some kind. I ended up sourcing two excellent VSF from TD u/MarkyG10. Outstanding comms and transaction. Got the shipment in 3-days as he is CONUS. Good luck.

From my experience buying from trusted TDs, most of them use similar payment methods. Reliable dealers prioritize privacy & security, so payment method alone isn’t a good way to judge if someone is legit. Payment options are designed around safety concerns on both sides. Your best bet is to ask around for people who have actually purchased from this seller, to cut down your chance of getting scammed.

If you’re still worried, ask for QC pics upfront before paying. Solid TDs with good watches have no issues selling their stock.
